Stephanie has helped me in two instances. In each, including my divorce, she was knowledgeable, caring and diligent in her work. I felt that she understood what was best for me and my four boys. She knows the law and utilizes her immense experience to fight for what is best for you. She is to be trusted and I would recommend her (and have many times) to anyone for their legal needs. Smart, detailed, diligent, caring, driven are all words to describe Stephanie. She is masterful and I trust her direction. I would highly recommend her counsel.

I needed an attorney to represent me during the divorce of my granddaughter's parents. Most people don't know there is a small window of opportunity to "intervene" in the proceedings when there is no custody order in place between the parents. I live in West Virginia and had no idea how to get my own attorney in Raleigh, North Carolina. But I did my homework and wow did I get lucky when I met Stephanie Gibbs in 2009. I didn't even know this was an option to have my own grandparent visitation until she explained it to me. I was the first case she tried for a grandparent but that didn't change my mind about wanting her. She demonstrated in the first weeks before I even retained her that she cared.....Stephanie has a passion for what is right and conducts her practice with the utmost integrity. What sets Stephanie apart from what we all thought about "attorneys" ~ she was just the opposite and I trusted her and knew she had my best interest and the best interest of my granddaughter who was 3 when this started first and foremost always! If I had a question(s), she responded immediately no matter what time of day. She never made me feel that anything I asked if I did not understand was a stupid question.......actually, I learned a lot about North Carolina family law and even printed the Rules of Civil Procedure so I could follow what she was citing as fact according to the law in all our documents. I became a party in the divorce case as the intervener and was involved in every deposition, hearing, mediations and will always remain a party until my granddaughter is of age. It was a year until my hearing was heard before the Judge in family court separate from the parents....it took 1-1/2 days to present our case. She remained very steadfast and positive that I would prevail even when I was not sure which way it was going to go, Stephanie never waivered. When the Judge ruled in my favor I had no one to thank except Stephanie and her tireless efforts in my case. She wasn't only dealing with me, she had to deal with the plaintiff and defendant's attorneys and was always professional. Yes I won and I got exactly what we were asking for my own separate visitation. Stephanie was simply the best of the best and I will forever be grateful to her that I can see my granddaughter once a month and a week in the summer to take her on vacation, and bring her back home to West Virginia where we can have our own fun time each year. My granddaughter is 9 now, and she was the real winner thanks to Stephanie because she didn't get her grandmother taken away when that was the only stability in her young life. If you are looking for a smart, intelligent, trustworthy attorney who will respond and keep you informed every step of the way, who knows the law like no other and will be your voice in the complex legal system..................Stephanie Gibbs is second to no one.

After almost a year with Mrs. Gibbs, my agreement with my ex still wasn't close to being signed, no progress after 20K spent. Mrs. Gibbs was pushing her opinion thru my throat, and charging me for what I asked her not to do, and she didn't do what I asked her to do. Had to fire her. I got my agreement signed with another lawyer, after only 6 months and I spent 3 times less.
