Mr. Fenton represented me a a defense attorney in a hearing where a restraining order was being brought against me by the plaintiff. Before the hearing, Mr. Fenton consulted privately with the plaintiff representing herself and came back to me with the advice and recommendation to succumb (cave) to the restraining order, based upon info from the plaintiff that was (a) outdated and (b) false. Mr. Fenton cannot work up a defense or "think on his feet" to counter something a lay person was going to present in argument to his planned defense. Mr. Fenton is not worth the exorbitant fee that he charges ($2500 for one day which lasted 2 hours of his time not including travel), when the defendant provided detailed prep work for Mr. Fenton to present and argue the case on behalf of his client. Do know waste your money. You will undoubtedly do no worse representing yourself than hiring this attorney. Mr. Fenton also refused to subsequently address his client with any detailed response, but resorted to vague and ambiguous responses only finally "spin doctoring" a response to suit his position, still not accurate to the day's proceedings.
