About
I am a seasoned civil litigator with over a decade of experience obtained through my employment with a variety of legal aid organizations in both Kentucky and Nevada. I have developed over the years a comprehensive approach to deal with my client's debt problems. I have been a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates since 2009, and I regularly attend the Consumer Rights Litiation Conference put on by the National Consumer Law Center. I am well versed in what your rights are as a consumer, and how I can help you defend and protect those rights.

Stefanie was prompt and effective. She certainly knew enough of her trade to make my bankruptcy seamless and painless. Even after the process was complete she was prompt at returning calls and providing supplemental info pertaining to the case. Highly reccommended!
Stefanie was wonderful. She helped me with my case every step of the way and has even answered questions for me since my case was settled. I would use her services again and have recommended her to several others.
My wife and I weren't sure what to expect when we began our bankruptcy process, however Stefanie was an absolutely warm and kind person to help us through. The entire process was relatively painless and hassle free. Her in-depth review of our situation even resulted in a student loan being successfully discharged and thereby loosing us from prior judgments. This is nearly unheard of in the realm of student debt. I'm not sure of the other users review, as Stefanie was completely on point in my experience with her. In the recent months since our early 2018 discharge, I have received near-instant return emails to questions from her. In conclusion, I would be glad to affirm a recommendation to SEKL firm and Mrs. Ebbens Kingsley and staff.
Mrs. Kingsley was wonderful to work with, and walked me through each step of my case. I needed someone who was knowledgeable in family and property law for my divorce, (and honestly, was a little skeptical at first when referred to her), as she was not from the area. However, this turned out to be the best advice ever given. Mrs. Kingsley is very knowledgeable and was able to advocate for me in ways I wouldn’t have considered. Not only is she empathetic, but cool under pressure. Once I met her, I never doubted for one minute that she wouldn’t work hard for me. I would use her for any future legal work, again and again - or trust her to refer me to someone else, if she couldn’t meet my needs.
I feel I must be careful reviewing a lawyer but my experience with this attorney taught me to fire someone immediately if they make you feel distrustful or uncomfortable. In my case I did try to find another lawyer but could not. I felt actions could have or should have been taken that were not. I made some specific requests that were ignored, partially ignored, or I was snapped at and told I was unrealistic and demanding. I do not think I was any of those things. I think I was reasonable and that at least an attempt for some of my requests should have been considered. I did eventually fire her, and whether this was more detrimental to me or would have made no difference, I don’t know. I felt effort in my case was abandoned, and worse, that she was hostile toward me. It made me more anxious about the legal situation than before I hired her. She seldom called, and would not answer specific questions in emails. Or only partially answered leaving me even more stressed and confused. Communication was poor, and detrimental to getting things done. There were other issues. My experience was not a good one.
