This review is being written to outline my experience being represented by Stanley Ruchelman and others in his office. Unfortunately, it was an incredibly detrimental and life changing experience. I suggest that anyone who is considering using him for services use extreme caution when heeding his advice. His recommendations and actions while retained as my attorney were not only reckless but directly resulted in me losing my entire company, valued in multimillions of dollars, and lifelong relationships. His actions after he was fired show that he had blatant disregard for me as his client. Stanley Ruchelman was referred to me from a prominent Florida attorney. The FL attorney was my general counsel and Stanley Ruchelman was supposedly a highly proficient attorney with experience in my type of international and highly complex company structure. Upon being retained, Ruchelman requested that I have a valuation performed on my company in order to be able to move forward with what he was hired for. He recommended a particular valuation company (NYC accounting firm) and I had that done with them. The company was valued in the hundreds of millions. It was determined it was not possible for me to remain the owner of the company because I was a US citizen. Ruchelman then suggested that I transfer the shares of the company to a foreign business partner. I agreed and he facilitated the transaction. At the last hour he asked me if I “trusted” the business partner. He then recommended that I transfer the shares without the contract being done and that he would complete it and finalize it soon afterward. The truth is I did trust my business partner, and I trusted Stanley Ruchelman. And perhaps had the contract been written as promised “soon afterward” I wouldn’t be where I am today. Instead, Stanley Ruchelman along with others in his office continually strung me along on the phone and in person for 14 months. Over that period of time, and as a direct result of not having the structure in place that Stanley Ruchelman hired to devise, the relationship between my partner and I deteriorated. It finally got to the point where an emergency meeting was called and Ruchelman essentially said I was basically out of luck. I did exactly what Ruchelman and his team instructed me to do and when because I hired him to protect my interest. He and his office oversaw a transaction in which I signed over all rights to my company and drug their feet to make sure I was protected while charging me tens of thousands of dollars in attorney’s fees. After he was fired, he immediately retained an attorney and would not answer any of my questions. When I requested my files, his attorney stated that I owed him additional money and refused to release my files until paid. This is a legal maneuver he employed to protect his wrongdoing. While these facts may seem outlandish, fortunately I have documentation of every single detail and has taken me this long to bring myself to this review because frankly I was trying to rebuild my life and emerge from the mess that Stanley Ruchelman caused. I would love to include every single detail of the experience in this review as I think it is important to caution anyone who considers working with Stanley Ruchelman’s law firm but my space here is limited. As a believer in God, I am taught to forgive and move on and I have, but I cannot bear to think this could happen to someone else. I am currently finalizing a blog/website that will outline in incredible detail everything I am discussing here.
