I fractured my tailbone and suffered some other injuries after being hit by a car this summer while riding my bike. After receiving some misleading communication from the at-fault party's insurance, I contacted a few attorneys for some perspective. Stacie was the only attorney I spoke with who clearly took the time to understand my concerns, walk me through my options, and explain the insurance and legal jargon to me. Our initial phone consultation lasted almost an hour--Stacie was patient, informative, and kind even before I hired her as my attorney. She even met with me in my home because I was unable to travel due to my injuries at the time. Throughout the process, Stacie was extremely honest in giving me perspective on my case and helping me understand my rights. She was always quick to respond to questions or confusion I had about the claim process and made sure I was getting the treatments I needed to manage my pain and heal my injuries. She definitely became a friend and mentor during my healing process. Thanks to Stacie, I was able to receive my settlement earlier than anticipated, and Stacie has continued to make herself available as I finish my treatments. I am so grateful to have the resources I needed to heal properly, and also to be able to pay off some prior debts with my settlement! Stacie connects with her clients on a human level and fights hard for them to ensure they get the compensation and clarity they deserve. I respect her strong bicycle advocacy and appreciate her supportive professional working style. Thank you, Stacie!

I was recommended to Stacie after I was run over by a Metro bus whilst riding my bike, and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Before I hired her, I attempted to handle the claim myself and it was a complete nightmare. Metro was putting all the burden of recovery on me and made me continually jump through hoops in order to frustrate me and make me go away. Dealing with them was like having a part time job in of itself. When I decided it was time for professional help, a friend recommended Stacie to me and she lifted all the burden of the accident off my shoulders. Working with her allowed me to focus on my physical recovery and gave me time to get back to normal life. Any loop Metro threw at me from that point forward was no longer my problem. Stacie handled all their BS for me. Due the length of time for my physical recovery, I was with Stacie for quite some time. Throughout the process Stacie gave me consistent updates on her side of things. She would also check in on recovery and helped defer payment with a practitioner until after I had received my settlement. When it came time to submit a claim, Metro twice low balled us and forced us into to arbitration. They were also claiming some of my treatments used were invalid and they weren't going to compensate them. She was able to circumvent all their tactics and I ended up walking away with double of what I would have received pre-arbitration. Besides her legal skills, Stacie is also very kind and was genuinely concerned for my wellbeing through the process. If you are in any sort of bicycle related accident in Seattle, I don't think there is any better Lawyer to represent you than Stacie. You won't regret it!

I hired Stacie Bain to represent my case after being struck by a car while riding my bicycle. It was clearly the best decision I made in an otherwise dreadful situation. Stacie is at all times professional, compassionate and a tenacious advocate for her client - me! I could not be more pleased with her representation of my case or the settlement I received. I wholeheartedly recommend Stacie Bain to represent your personal injury case!

Stacie was amazing. I'm so glad she represented me. First, because she won - I got a much larger settlement than I thought I would, and I think that's because Stacie genuinely cared. Secondly, because mine wasn't an easy case. I was hit by a driver that ran, and tracking them down - and then their insurance company - took a lot of doing. But Stacie took the case anyway and overcame the obstacles, which is why I have a settlement at all. Thirdly, because of her compassion. I met with her months after the accident (http://seattlegreenways.org/blog/2015/04/23/ryanroosevelt/) but my emotions were still raw. The last thing I wanted was to feel like I was being victimized again, or treated as just another number. And when she told me that the expenses for the case would be coming out of my end of any eventual settlement, I thought that was unfair. But she explained that's the way things were done in Washington, and I later confirmed this on my own - it would have been impossible for her to make any other arrangement. And yet, because I was concerned, she tried to keep the expenses as low as possible. I got my own medical records, and she chose low-cost options on her end, so that the eventual expenses were extraordinarily low - as low as they possibly could have been. Stacie also kept me informed about the case and her work on it, and I always felt like I was being treated with care, and like a human being. She didn't just get me a settlement. She made me feel like I deserved justice, and, now that it's settled, like justice was done. I can't thank her enough.

Stacie was at all times professional, clear in presenting options available to me, and patient in answering any questions I had. I was completely unprepared to deal with insurance companies, the police, hospitals, billing departments...and I didn't have to! Stacie managed all the intricate legal aspects, communications, form-filling etc. As a cyclist herself she fully understands the pleasures and risks involved in bike-commuting, and exhibited a level of understanding and compassion regarding my accident that was genuine and greatly appreciated.

I, like many other people, had a negative perception of attorneys before I hired Stacie Bain. I saw them as a necessary evil, but evil none the less. Her handling of two cases for me has completely changed that perception. At all times she worked for my best interests and made sure I understood all my options in a clear and concise manner. Stacie negotiated skillfully and firmly with insurance companies, medical providers, and the state to get the best outcome for me. I am not an easy client to work with, Stacie maintained a compassionate demeanor with me throughout the process. I would highly recommend her as an attorney.

All aspects of my case were handled to the extent that my stress level was not a factor. Each step was explained and all decisions were cleared with me prior to any actions taken. The very reason I hired an attorney was to eliminate the hassle of dealing with insurance reps and doctors billing departments so doing it any other way is out of the question. The professionalism, experience and expertise required to guide clients through this potentially emotional and strained period is a must -her work is highly commendable and my choice in working with Stacie has proven to be a wise move in every way. My case couldn't have been resolved with a better result - even as much as I believe I should be compensated much more but I am sure all injury/accident victims feel this way. After their initial offer was deemed unacceptable and we declined it, they came back with more than expected. If you need a caring person on your side to take charge of your case you will not be disappointed when selecting Stacie Bain to do battle with, I am confident that if we went to court we would have fared very well, too!

I was incredibly pleased with Stacie's knowledge, skill, handling, and communication. I also felt like she really cared about me and my story and how the accident affected my life. She is very personable, yet very professional. When you call, she answers the phone, and will talk to you, unlike most lawyers, to whom you must first go through several layers of secretaries and paralegals. She worked with me and guided me through a process over two years that led to a successful arbitration outcome. I highly recommend Stacie Bain if you have been injured in a bike accident.

There is no way to overstate the proficiency, the caring attitude, or the genuine advocacy I received at the hands of Ms. Bain. Several years ago, someone ran a red light and plowed into my car, causing me brain damage, multiple injuries and rendering me virtually unable to cope. When counselors ruled my condition PTSD, but therapy wasn't really addressing my brand new emotional discontrol, it was Stacie that realized I had a TBI, and that I needed to see some specialists. I am not the person I was, but I can now function at a much higher capacity than I could before my lawyer, of all people, helped me get the care I needed. Besides that, my case settled without my ever having to testify, saving me a lot of stress and scrutiny that would no doubt be incredibly difficult for me - and awarding me the policy limit that will allow me (someone with only catastrophic insurance) to afford to continue to seek treatment and not go into debt. Stacie was there every step of the way, often emailing me or calling me just to see how I was doing. I can honestly say that I feel like she saved my life. THIS IS THE LAWYER YOU WANT ON YOUR SIDE.

She brings to the table an inspirational work ethic. Stacie established a relationship of trust and goodwill. She is accessible and communicates in a way that is easy to understand. Stacie Bain has a networking capability that will astound you. She has resources few attorneys can match. I have known many and hired others before her and when it comes to bicycle law I think she is the real deal. I was pleased with the outcome.
