About
Staci D. Giske has been practicing family law for over 15 years, and she has the education to back it up. She is a graduate of the James Madison College and Honors College at Michigan State University. Staci graduated with honors in 1996 and went directly to the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. While there, she attended the London Law Program and interned at the prestigious and historic Gray’s Inn.Giske is always striving to be the best lawyer for Michigan families. She is committed to continuing legal education. She attends the annual Family Law Institute hosted by the Institute for Continuing Legal Education and seminars hosted by the State Bar of Michigan and the American Academy of Matrimonial Law. Staci always takes time to keep up with changes in the law. With all this training, she is well prepared to handle any of your family law needs.Staci D. Giske’s top priority is to be a partner to her clients as well as their advocate. She understands that hiring a family attorney is usually a necessary evil for most people, so she always addresses her clients’ personal needs to help them get through a very difficult time in their lives. From personal experience, I know what it feels like to be “a file” versus “a client” and I try very hard to make sure all of my clients get personal attention from us.Staci is also a loving mother. She and her husband live in Oakland County with her three children. She recognizes that divorce is often a moment of crisis, but it can also be an opportunity for personal growth. She takes the “counselor” part of her title seriously and does what she can to help her clients heal. She teaches her clients co-parenting strategies and recommends settlement options that will help them move on after the case is over. To her clients, Staci D. Giske is a partner, but inside the courtroom she is their zealous advocate. From an early age, it was clear that Staci had the skills to serve her clients well in the courtroom. She has been working in Oakland County, Wayne County, and Macomb County for over 15 years and knows what to expect from the judges and court staff. When mediation and arbitration fail, Staci will be at your side fighting for you in front of the judge.

Staci was more than just a wonderful attorney. She supported me through my divorce from beginning to end! Staci was generous with her time, and patiently led me in the process. I highly recommend using her.
I interviewed several attorneys before retaining Mrs.Giske. I chose Mrs.Giske because she responded immediate and communicated well. I found her to be caring and attentive to my case. She has a strong personality, which is a good trait for a lawyer. My overall experience is positive and I recommend her.
Staci's professionalism and expertise made a very challenging time as straight-forward and smooth as possible. I would recommend her to anyone who requires the services she provides.
I felt in very capable and understanding hands with Staci in my corner. Great advocate for her clients! When I did approach her regarding a retainer/billing issue (that was a complete misunderstanding and oversight on my part) she ended up refunding me a portion anyway. She did not have to do that and was more than fair. I would highly recommend Staci to anyone in search of a qualified and compassionate attorney.
Dear Staci, I just wanted to thank you again for the extraordinary representation you afforded my children and I in court earlier this week. For over five years I have never felt heard or believed my children’s best interest were being represented adequately. That all changed with you. You continued to fight for what you believed was possible even after I had given up. I cannot thank you enough. On behalf of my daughters and I we appreciate your knowledge, determination and fierce advocacy for us. Thank you, Elana
Staci did a fantastic job, I had very difficult child custody case. That began in another state 4 years prior, where I also had representation. She worked closely with the out of state attorney and was able to help me to bring the case to Michigan where we have lived for several years. As the case became increasing difficult over the next few months, Staci managed to keep everything on track. Due to her diligence and expertise, our case is now complete. Now, after a more than four year battle that began out of state. I now have full sole custody of my daughter, which is the best possible outcome that I could have expected from this difficult situation. I am thankful that she was there to help when I needed it and I recommend her to anyone that is in need a good family attorney.
Staci helped me through a very difficult time. I was terrified of the process and it was even worse because my ex was an attorney and I felt overwhelmed. But I was able to keep my home and ended up with what I feel was an excitable settlement despite him. I have had her help me after the divorce was final as well and always know she will fight for me when I need her. I give out her number to anyone I have ever come across going through this ordeal. She is the best.
Thanks Staci, you have been extremely helpful throughout this whole QDRO process and I will recommend you to anyone that is looking for a great and competent attorney :) Sheila
It has taken a bit for me to write this. I am not in the habit of writing negative reviews. At first Staci appeared to be kind and concerned, but that did not last. She is abrupt, impatient, and condescending. She can be quite curt and nasty. She was also inept at getting a fair settlement. I would not recommend her. Was quite disappointed with the whole experience.
Would not recommend. Had to let her go after one week (no refund on retainer fee). I felt she did not do what she said she would and also I felt she was condescending and unpleasant to work with.
