Stacey and her assistant were very responsive and followed up promptly throughout my divorce case. I was very pleased with how quickly she responded to all my questions and how I felt in control of the process and what I wanted(as a client should). She was very eager to advocate for my interests. Comparing her follow up and follow through to the attorney handling for the other party on the case was a night and day difference. Glad I hired her. Only one bit of advice would be that I didn't get time sheets or billing statements so I could see where billable hours were in relation to my retainer. However, it looks as everything fit into what I paid upfront so no big deal.
Choosing Stacey was a outstanding decision. She excelled in her knowledge of the law and what was right. She clearly outclassed the opposing counsel and was professional in every way. I would definitely recommend Stacey Selleck Law.
From the moment I stepped into Stacey's office, I was made to feel comfortable. Divorce is an awful experience to go through, but having someone on your side who you know has your best interest in mind is such a great feeling. Stacey was very knowledgeable and caring, she and her staff kept me informed throughout the entire process and were always happy to answer my questions. I had never had any experience with a lawyer before and now know who I can go to if I ever need one again. I would highly recommend Stacey to anyone who is looking for great representation. Thanks for everything!
We contacted Stacey for an initial consultation to get her thoughts on a possible modification of custody, more importantly parenting time. She gave her honest feedback, and didn’t feel we met the county’s guidelines for a possible change. However, she gave us scenarios to keep in mind for the future, that would allow us to file for a change. Months later, we reached back out to Stacey and she was quick to draft a motion and “jump on it” as we had a reason to now file. In the courtroom, Stacey is incredible. Her knowledge is impeccable, and her memory of details you’ve mentioned previously, is outstanding. Stacey is personable, fair, and an incredibly fierce attorney to have by your side!
Stacey, The care and concern that you showed for my case during one of the most challenging times of my life is so much appreciated. You always made me feel at ease and as comfortable as possible during the entire process. Your sound legal guidance helped me through what at times was a very confusing process. You are a wonderful attorney and I cannot thank you enough!
Great attorney, when she was done in court with my case, people were standing in line to get her information. Just a awesome person, attorney, highly recommended
Communication was terrible. Stacey told me one strategy but then the next time we'd meet she'd suddenly change course and say that I needed to compromise and do something else. Billing was also an issue, as there were things I was billed for that I could prove were not legitimate (like for emails on days that no email was sent, or phone calls on days that we didn't talk on the phone). After my case finally ended, I cried. Months later, talking to another attorney at a social event, he told me that I could/should have gotten a much better deal after my divorce than I did.
Horrible experience. Every email, and document had a typo in it. I had to send an email back pointing the typo's out, which I probably got charged for. It was rare that I actually knew what was going one in my case. There is a totally lack of communication in that office. Stacey would tell me one thing and her assistant/paralegal would tell me another. And that's only when they bothered to respond. Stacey would never fight for me, she pretty much wanted me to concede on everything cause it was "easier". The bill that I received after my case was over was ridiculous. There were numerous bogus charges. There was a parking fee charge, even though the court house had NO parking fee, which only makes me wonder what other bogus charges are on there. And this is after she told me originally "I don't see this going over the retainer", well an extra $900 begs to differ. Use anyone else but her.
