About

I practice in the areas of Family Law and Bankruptcy.  Nobody plans to file for divorce or bankruptcy.  These are disasterous life events that cause your entire world to come crashing down.  No matter the causes of why you find yourself in such situations, there is light at the end of the tunnel and a way to rebuild.  I take pride in helping good people through some of life's most ugly and bitter trials.  If you or a loved one is experiencing a difficult situation and needs counsel and hope for the future, I am here to help.

Spencer was Exacting Patient & Kind . Outcome was better than I imagined. His paralegal Karen was always responsive, when I needed it most!.

We needed help with a serious and messy matter out of our control. After meeting with Spencer Hale we decided to use his services. We prevailed! Not only did we have the worry lifted off of our shoulders, Spencer applied further insistence and influence to protect in the future "exactly what needed to be protected". I think Spencer Hale is a unique, soft spoken pit bull. When he sets his teeth in to the opponents thigh, he isn't letting go until justice prevails. I am grateful to have this quiet giant with skills and talent to protect our family!

I've known Spencer for a long time so it was easy to make the decision to contract for his services when we needed him. At trial, Spencer exceeded my expectations. While being cordial in the courtroom, he was relentless in his pursuit of the truth. He was very well prepared, perhaps over-prepared as he only needed to use several of his more than sixty prepared exhibits. Spencer was honest with his billing practices and he continues to be a man of integrity. Our family was well served by his compassion, competence and professionalism.

This attorney liked to have lengthy interviews of witnesses. He also signed for my child support to be changed and never called or contacted me in any way. He lost all my daycare expenses and child’ s activities to be included on child support. Then he didn’t fight at all for me and I kept having to remind him he was representing me not my ex husband. I was very reasonable. He also made me sell my house and it was swiped form the original order. He gets to busy to handle the clients he has and doesn’t represent you. I went from sole custody to joint because of all the mistakes he made! B. Don’t let him represent you because he doesn’t care about his client and takes the side of who your against and he even admitted to the bar he did wrong to me So sad that I loose time with my daughter because he wasn’t fighting for me!! Don’t use him!!!

We were referred to Spencer by one of his colleagues so we went into our legal proceedings with the utmost confidence. This was shortly lived as email after email was ignored. When finally receiving an email, (from his paralegal, not him), it usually had incorrect paperwork attached. We were constantly having to send them back noting the errors. When we finally went to court, Spencer started stuttering and talking to the judge about a completely different case he has with someone else. We had to tell him that he's talking about someone else's case. After it was all said and done, we came to an agreement that the respondent would pay all legal fees. When I asked Spencer about returning our retainer, he said, it usually takes 5 business days. Almost 2 months later, we received it only to find out they took almost $600 out of it. When we confronted Spencer about the respondent paying all legal fees, he replied with, No, you agreed they would pay all attorney fees to that point. After arguing with him over the verbage that was used, we realized there was nothing we can do. This case took a severe emotional toll on my girlfriend and he just stared at her with a blank stare while she sobbed in his office (His paralegal even made a comment to him about wording things so insensitive ). I highly recommend avoiding this attorney at all costs.
