Sonya was able to give me Full Custody of my five juvenile daughters and Son. She created a case where My children have had no contact with their Biological mother for ten years. My oldest sought the mother out and abruptly found out she was as crazy as the judge said

During my divorce period, I felt I was not informed of vital information when it was made known and an aire of overconfidence, from my attorney, prevented her from explaining worse case details to me which came true at final hearing. It's too late to explain certain things AFTER the judge has made his ruling.

I guess the adage "You get what you pay for" is true - at least in this case. I paid a nominal retainer and was assured that my divorce would be final quickly, since there are no children and my ex was not contesting anything. The plan was that we would file as petitioners (I paid Ms Davis to do this, and also paid the filing fees) and then my ex would be served. I found out that this did NOT happen when I was served... Ms Davis had never filed. So now, instead of my divorce case proceeding in Polk Co, it is filed in the county where my ex lives. Ms Davis and I discussed the filing and agreed on our (my) response. Again - SURPRISE! I found out 24+ days later that our response was never filed with the court when my ex's attorney made a motion for default. I called Ms. Davis furious, and we were able to get our response on file with the court and the motion for default was denied. But that isn't the end. It is now 10 months later and nothing has happened. Phone calls and emails from both me and my ex's attorney are not acknowledged or returned. My ex just had a motion to compel filed against me and my attorney and I STILL haven't heard from Ms. Davis. I suspect that after the motion to compel expires, I will either just have to accept a default judgment, or I will have to have the judge order Ms Davis removed from the case, and I will be looking for a new attorney.

Horrible experience! Pushy and aggressive early on, but once I was served and an answer was filed, she went MIA. Multiple calls and emails to her went without acknowledgement. My estranged spouses attorney was also not able to get return phone calls or answers to emails. My case is now stalled, and I am in the process of asking the judge to remove her from the case. Save your time and spend your retainer $$ on an attorney who will follow up!

Hired this hoopla wanna be Attorney for a divorce, not only did this person take the retainer fee, made me sign a contract, fill out TONS of paperwork, do everything above and beyond what I was really supposed to do, didn't file for my divroce until almost 5 months after I HIRED HER! Worst 10 months of my life being represented by her. Never got phone calls from her. I had to do all the calling to "check on things". Never recv'd monthly copies of ANYTHING like I did with my new Atty. Never got a monthly balance of what was left on my retainer ( as in her contract, it stated I would receive monthly statements). Not even a stamp was wasted on me with this Atty. I was very very hurt by her actions, she took my money and ran. She saw me coming. Do not use. You're a hell of a fool if you do.
