Somer is one of the top employment and sexual abuse lawyers in the State of Louisiana and is known for her relentless representation of women and children who have been harmed by negligent corporations. She obtained the largest jury verdict in the State for a student who was sexually abused by a public school teacher and obtained the largest jury verdict in Louisiana under the Louisiana employment discrimination statute for a disabled employee who was discharged.While Somer specializes in cases of institutional abuse and neglect including churches, school, and daycares, as well as employment discrimination and harassment, she also fights for the rights of people from all walks of life who have suffered a personal injury, including wrongful death and catastrophic injuries.Somer has been named as a Louisiana Super Lawyers Rising Star for the last six years and is active in her State Bar Association. She was born and raised in Lake Charles and graduated from LaGrange High School.
