I first contacted Nancy to draft wills a couple of years ago and found her proficient. I then contacted her to update wills after a loss. She was again proficient but also compassionate. She helped me redraft my will and advance directives with skilled advice, objectivity and compassion. I highly recommend her.
Nancy Tonucci was wonderful to work with through out our title 19 application. She brings forth a wealth of knowledge in elder law and makes a difficult process easy. She takes the time to make sure you understand everything that is needed and has a sound relationship with many local assisted living facilities. Nancy keeps you informed through every step of the process with check-in and status reports from either herself of her assistant. Without her help, completing our application would have taken exponentially longer. I have already recommended her to a neighbor with elder law needs.
Attorney Tonucci and her staff were knowledgeable and very responsive to me during their handling of the probate process of my mother’s estate. They were attentive to the Court requirements and deadlines, affording me peace of mind during this difficult time.
I have practiced law for more than 30 years. The majority of my practice involves representation of conserved persons. Whenever one of my clients has a complex special needs trust issue, without hesitation, I hire Attorney Tonucci. Furthermore, in addition to retaining her services for my clients, I regularly make referrals to her. She is highly ethical, diligent, and extremely competent. She breaks down difficult legal issues into their component parts. She is welcoming, compassionate and still finds time to give back to the legal community by mentoring up and coming attorneys. I recommend her without reservation.
Nancy was so welcoming the minuet we walked into her office and through the whole process. She responded by phone or emails within minuets not hours. Nancy was very knowledgeable about our setting up and guiding us to set the trust up. You can’t go wrong dealing with Nancy. Thanks again Nancy Jimmy
While experiencing the loss of my Mother, along with the betrayal of family, I wasn't sure if I were up to the task of seeking an attorney. After many phone calls, I connected with Atty. Tonucci and knew right away that I wanted to meet with her. She seemed very direct and extremely knowledgeable, and at the same time showed concern in regard to my situation. I grew very confident in her ability to handle my case which in turn caused me to be less stressed. I can't thank her enough for getting me through a rough period in my life. I highly recommend her.
I filed for a conservator for my aunt with the City of East Hartford. Tonucci was chosen. The conservator system seems to be set up to find the filing party as the enemy but no mind to this at present, albeit it a huge issue. I have concern that since Tonucci promised a budget but has not delivered it, did a shoddy job with an inventory (did not list items of worth specifically), does not communicate as promised, her designated nurse does not follow-up, and overall Tonucci seems to have an ego the size of Fenway Park. I now live in California but find Tonucci's behavior on these matters appalling. As one executive in the social justice system in Connecticut said, the Connecticut system is set up for graft. A financial report to the court once a year leaves plenty of room for graft. Recently, Tonucci issued a $5400 check to a funeral home because she thought it "was time." My aunt is in good health, sans dementia. She has sufficient worth for many years. Tonucci gave the funeral home a blank contract of $5400. This is bad business. I have worked with many lawyers through corporate transactions, lawsuits and initial public offerings. I have never met a lawyer as misguided as Tonucci.
