I have had a working relationship with Shelly for over 2 years. During that time I couldn't be more pleased. Her advice and counsel have been invaluable in the success of my business and in our relationship. Her proactive approach has helped me to avoid costly mistakes and kept my company moving forward. Always up to date, she has never let me down or failed to get the job done. She is, truly, one-of-a-kind!
Shelly Wilson was my public defender in St. Petersburg, Fl. She had 18 months to prepare for my case, one in which I was charged with six felonies. To get into detail of Wilson's lack of concern, lack of preparation, incompetence and unprofessional behavior would require my writing a book. Suffice to say, we did not meet the first time until the NIGHT BEFORE THE TRIAL! Even then, she had no knowledge of the case, wanted to try a bankruptcy defense for white collar crimes-which even I knew the judge would rule against- and finally, after a mere three hours together, said she had to go home because her husband's boss was in town and he needed the car! Her behavior was reprehensible on both a human level, and as an attorney. She simply did not care. At trial, she made no objections when witnesses and "victims" gave testimony that severely contradicted their depositions. When I quietly spoke to her about this, trying to get her to challenge them, she told me to shut up. When I politely persisted, she made a scene in court and had the judge admonish me. A senior public defender was called in to assist on the final day of trial, but by then it was too late. I see on her website, she has represented capital cases. God help them. My marriage, my business, and my life were destroyed for years after meeting Shelly Wilson.
