Shellie Lott received her law degree from University of Utah SJ Quinney College of Law where she graduated with honors. She was an O’Leary scholar and earned a pro bono certificate for over 50 hours of service. During law school, she was a note and comment editor for the journal of law and family science. She received a BA in English from Utah Valley University, graduating summe cum laude.Shellie Lott joined Cerney Kreuze & Lott in 2006 as an associate and became a partner in 2009. In 2017, Ms. Lott became board certified in Social Security Disability law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and recently served on the board of the organization. She also is an adjunct professor, teaching Social Security Disability Law at Humphreys College Laurence Drivon School of Law. Ms. Lott has presented on disability law issues for continuing legal education for local and national organizations. She has also served as an expert witness, testifying regarding Social Security Disability.Ms. Lott is President of the Sacramento Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives, which organizes continuing education and bench-bar functions with local Administrative Law Judges. Shellie Lott currently serves on the board of California Rural Legal Assistance and is chair of the San Joaquin County Bar MCLE committee. She is also on the Social Security panel for the County’s Lawyer Referral Service and is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (“NOSSCR”).Shellie Lott is admitted to practice law in California, the US District Court, and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
