About
Shayden was raised in Fargo, North Dakota and graduated from Oak Grove Lutheran High School in 2011. He studied and played basketball at Minnesota State University Moorhead where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. As part of his undergraduate experience, he studied abroad in Valencia, Spain, while also playing a year of professional basketball.After graduation, Shayden moved to Washington State to attend Gonzaga University School of Law, earning his JD in May of 2019. In law school, he interned at University Legal Assistance for the Federal Tax Law Clinic and General/Indian Law Clinic. Shayden’s caseload while with the General/Indian Law clinic consisted mainly of family law cases. While with the clinic, he identified a need for more convenient access to legal services on the Kalispel Indian Reservation and pitched ideas to his supervisors. This culminated in Shayden’s assistance in the facilitation and implementation of a monthly legal advice clinic which has now been serving the Kalispel community for three years.Shayden also has experience in the area of criminal law as a law clerk for Barret J. Scudder (Public Defender in Adams County). His other notable work experience includes interning at the Institute for Athletes. As an Intern, he was responsible for working with outside counsel on drafting professional licensing agreements for NFL players.Outside of the office, Shayden enjoys an active lifestyle including skiing, mountain biking and otherwise competing in any sport he has an opportunity to play.Shayden passed the Washington Bar exam in July of 2019 and started at Kuffel, Hultgrenn, Klashke, Shea & Ellerd shortly after. He is thrilled to call Tri-Cities home and he is eager to utilize his wide array of work experience to assist in your legal matter.
