She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, Summa Cum Laude, in History from North Carolina Central University in 1999 and her Juris Doctor degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2002. She is one of the managing partners of the Law Office of Peace & Squires, PLLC.​Attorney Squires-Tapp has over 15 years of experience in practicing law.
