Danica was hired to handle a very volatile case regarding a minor child and a restraining order. At the time that we hired her we had limited funds and we were at a huge disadvantage regarding the specifics of the case. Money was not an issue for my ex-husband so he had a big advantage and it made the task of fighting in court very discouraging for us. Hiring Danica was not only the smartest move we made but the best money we ever spent and our family is better off because of it. She is worth every bit of her retainer, and more! Danica represented us ethically and aggressively and at no point did I ever feel she didn’t have our best interests in mind. She always addressed my concerns as they came up and explained why she advised taking certain courses of actions. Danica also has a lot of clout in the courtroom due to the fact that she has been around long enough for judges to be familiar with her and how she works. She is well respected by her peers and has an excellent rapport with the judges which is something a lot of attorneys cannot claim to have. When she walks into the courtroom people know her and it’s obvious she knows what she is doing because she can clearly hold her own in court. During the course of my case my ex-husband has changed attorneys numerous times, all of which had very high fees and all of which failed miserably at representing their client as well as Danica did for me despite the advantages they had early on in the case. Danica always had a very good rapport with the judge that opposing counsel clearly never had which resulted in favorable results for our family. Even if I went into the courtroom nervous or anxious I always left in good spirits because Danica really is a slam dunk in the court room, she knows how to handle tough situations. Good attorneys are obviously in great demand and they are busy in court working diligently to achieve the best possible outcome for their clients so when I called her office I don’t expect her to pick up her own phone. However, I did expect her to communicate with me and she ALWAYS did, she NEVER left me hanging or wondering about the progress of my case. I never felt ignored and if for any reason she was unavailable she had her paralegal address my concerns and had Danica call me back. Danica showed empathy for our family situation because she was able to see the situation through our eyes and she always maintained her primary focus being on the safety and welfare of the minor child. She was very patient with our financial situation during a time when we lost our source of income halfway into the case and our family was struggling. She showed a willingness to work with us despite our temporary financial hardships. Danica never made me feel like she was trying to run the bill up (as I have had attorneys do in the past) and often times would give me other options to reduce costs and fees. She has put in countless hours in and out of the courtroom on our case and to this date I don’t believe she has ever billed us for all the hours she truly put in, which is unheard of from any attorney I have ever hired. I have never had to question a bill nor have I ever felt that I was asked to pay unreasonable fees. Danica’s fees are fair considering the caliber of attorney that she is. The two negative reviews posted here about Danica can’t be any further from the truth. I have worked very closely with Danica for quite a while now and I trusted her with sensitive issues with a very heated custody battle that has turned out as a huge win for our family. Had I decided to hire an attorney with less knowledge and skill or stayed pro per I know the outcome would not have turned out as victorious as it did. Thanks to Danica, our family has been able to pick up the pieces of our lives and repair the damage that my ex-husband has caused. I have no reason to ever hire another attorney because I know I will get the best possible outcome with Danica.

My husband and I hired Danica for my husband's high-conflict paternity matter, and we could't be happier with her services. Danica looked out for my husband's best interests, even though it meant not going to court and having to pay her more fees. She knows what she's doing, and has a great reputation in court and with the judges, as well as other attorneys in the area. Her paralegal is great as well! I highly recommend seeking her assistance.

This was the worst experience I have ever encountered with an attorney firm. I don't believe Ms Hanich is necessarily so bad herself. But her staff was horrible which in turn makes her horrible. Her paralegal who handles 90% of the work was unethical in my opinion. I say my Opinion because it is just that until the Bar decides. I decided when my case is over to file a complaint. Yes it was that bad. And why not file the comaint now? Well I'm with a new attorney and I don't want to be bad mouthed at the court house as a bad client just because I left Ms Hanichs firm. Billing was horrific. Constantly rescheduling dates which led to me being billed for it. Her Paralegal must get paid by the work and not the hour because she has questionable billing practices as well. I would say go elsewhere or you will just drain your bank account and accomplish nothing in return.

She basically allowed the case to go on for almost 3 years. She cost me so much money and got mad at me if I questioned her. She used foul language, took advantage of my misery and was financially abusive.

We hired Danica Hanich in what should have been a slam dunk custody issue case. She was charming and said all the right things in the beginning, but as things progressed was letting things fall through the cracks, copped an attitude with my husband when he suggested that she needed to be a "Bull Dog" because the other attorney was known for this, missed deadlines, and generally dropped the ball at very key, pivotal points along the way. The final straw was that she failed to get a signature from my husband's ex at the end of our settlement meeting with the ex (which was nearly everything my husband was asking for) and days later, when his ex was asked to sign the final paperwork, she said she changed her mind, and wouldn't sign. So, we then had to go to court which cost many, many more thousands of dollars. Go to Ms. Hanich if you want to spend an exorbitant amount of money, for schlocky, inexperienced work and get yelled at.

Long after my case was finished and my last payment sent, she found shady ways to squeeze money out of me. Avoid her at all costs. She'll probably find a way to charge me for writing this so I will keep it short.

Do NOT hire this attorney. Too busy, didn't know basic law. Never returned calls, (of course after I hired her). Had too many clients to give due time to mine.

Do NOT hire this attorney. Too busy, didn't know basic law. Never returned calls, (of course after I hired her). Had too many clients to give due time to mine.

Do NOT hire this attorney. Too busy, didn't know basic law. Never returned calls, (of course after I hired her). Had too many clients to give due time to mine.
