About
I entered the law as a second career after building my first career as a lab analyst for a mineral company. I bring the keen analytical skills that I established in my previous career to the practice of law. I graduated from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, was admitted to the Texas bar in 2011 and founded my law practice right here in Bell County, the county my family has lived for six generations and where I have raised my family. As a solo attorney, I work directly with my clients in matters such as criminal law, including DWI and drug charges, family law and automobile injury. My focus is on being responsive. I keep my clients informed regarding the status of their cases, answer their questions and provide regular updates throughout the process. You can always come to me with your legal questions or concerns.

He went above and beyond what was required. He was very through and knowledgeable and I was thoroughly pleased with how he handled my case.
He will go the extra mile for you. I am very happy and pleased with his service. He explained everything no confusion at all. He knows what he is doing.
This was the first time I ever needed a criminal lawyer and I hope it is the last. Mr. Riley was great to work with. He stayed on top of the courts to get my case handled in a timely fashion. Also since the case didn't need to go to court the fee was reduced. I know that is done on a case by case basis, but I'm totally grateful he worked with me on my payments and fees. Thank you Mr. Riley.
I couldn't ask for a better attorney!!! Not only was he VERY flexible with letting me make payments to him, but he also is extremely informative, proactive, and genuinely caring! He helped me get my case dismissed (which I would've otherwise been charged with for sure). Shannon helped me get another chance at life by helping me obtain a dismissal and eventually, he is going to be helping me get an expunction so that it doesn't show up on my criminal history when I am applying for jobs or am volunteering. THANK YOU, SHANNON!!!
Deciding on legal represention is intimidating, overwhelming, but important at a time when a person is in a -sensitive & highly emotional position. After having gone through a legal event, I feel a sense of duty to share some insight that I learned. I will explain by using specific example in my experience with the attorney I chose, Shannon Riley. First, the night I was arrested for DWI, while I was in jail, I was able to call (the "one phone call" allowable in jail) a family member. My family member, in a panic & in the middle of the night, tirelessly searched the internet for an attorney or just someone or insight as to what to do in this frantic & intimidating situation. She started calling a few of the local attorneys that her internet search found that specialized in DWI law. After getting one answering service after another (it was, after all, the middle of the night), attorney, Shannon Riley, actually answered the call! This point, in and of itself, is a signal & a gem. Mr. Riley was patient and provided my family member with specific details of exactly how the process & scenarios would likely turn out, mind you--he had not been paid a penny at this point. He met my family member at the jail (the family member is a senior citizen) and upon my release, Shannon and my family member were there. Before deciding upon asking for his representation, he spent two hours explaining likely scenarios for my legal matter. He had several legal process insights that , had I decided on another attorney or even no private legal represention, affected my legal outcome that I have no doubt wouldn't have been revealed. Fast forward to the time after I decided to his legal represention, I would have follow-up questions and he promptly replied back (by text, no less!!) to me. Being crunched for time always, I found this as another highly noteworthy value. Fast forward, the court date, he provided me organized paperwork & explained. You won't be disappinted with his service.
Shannon Riley helped me through one of the toughest times of my life. He always kept me well informed, I felt like he truly cared and understood. I never needed an attorney before him and would recommend him to anyone who might need professional legal counsel in the future.
Shannon is awesome! He helped me with my divorce last year and could not have made it more comfortable and easy! With Shannon being my first time to ever need a lawyer, I wasn't sure how everything worked, he was patient with me with explaining everything and I never felt "rushed" out of his office. Everything was processed and filed when he said it would be and he regularly touched base with me on what was going on with my case. I would and do recommend him to anyone needing his services!
