Mr. Hilyard joined The Gallagher Law Firm after serving as the judicial law clerk for Ingham County Probate Court Chief Judge Hon. Richard J. Garcia and Hon. R. George Economy.  Mr. Hilyard received his juris doctor, cum laude, from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2013 as a member of the William Johnson Class.  While in law school Mr. Hilyard received several awards for academic achievement and leadership, including multiple Certificates of Merit. Mr. Hilyard, a native of Western New York, is an avid sports fan of the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, and New York Mets.  Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Hilyard enjoyed success in the rodeo arena as a bull rider.  In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and their four children.
