One reviewer on GOOGLE gave him 1 star for telling her he was "too busy" to take her call -which I HIGHLY DOUBT ---- SO TACKY to take the time of her day to do such a thing. I have NO doubt that Shands would have NEVER EVER told anyone he was, "too busy" because of my 7+ years of knowing him and his professionalism. She missed out with her "quick-to-judge" attitude & hurt feelings because he does not employ a receptionist, or a paralegal to field calls. I will explain to you why this is awesome. And I never ever had difficulty with communication with Shands. He always took my call when he could, and always called me back promptly - even long after my case was over. So, In my opinion, Shands is best described like old school doctors when it comes to bedside manner; very professional, reserved, and compassionate. If you are looking for the best of the best when it comes to employment law, here you go. Shands handled my case about 6 years ago and of course he won it for me because Shands won't take a case unless he KNOWS he can win it. There are no paralegals to plead your hour long story to, only to miss important key details before getting turned down by the attorney. It's just Shands. You actually meet with him and he takes extremely detailed notes and asks tons of questions to help establish your case. I paid my retainer immediately after my meeting with him which was more than fair. Shands was and will always have been a blessing for me, and the validity and justice of my case. I love going back and reading his Prima Facie and the demand letters because they are powerful. I only accept the BEST in my life. I got turned down by a few firms who would not listen to me, and left out key details of my case. It was like I had won the lottery when Shands answered the phone, listened to me, and asked me to come see him. I spent hours and hours, and days researching attorneys before I found Shands. Do not question your judgment - Just hire him. Even if on the first call he is busy and has to call you back--You will be forever grateful. I am So thankful I did--even if I would have lost my case because I know he would have done everything to fight for me.

This was the first time I found myself in a position where I needed to hire an employment attorney. I highly recommend Mr. Wulbern. He was very thoughtful and efficient and my matter was concluded in a fair and timely matter. Thank you Shands!

I wish I could disclose details to illustrate my appreciation for Mr. Wulbern's work. But because of the nature of the legal work, I cannot disclose my name or details. What I can say is that Shands is attentive, competent, and ethical. He was the fifth attorney I consulted with on my matter, and he was the only one who took notes during our meeting. This is perhaps an overlooked detail but was amazing to experience. I paid the other attorneys $200 for an approximately 30-minute initial meeting, and they didn't even bother to record any of the facts I relayed. This indicated a lack of care for detail, and I knew that if I hired any one of them I would have to pay them again to relay the same info in another meeting. Wasteful and unprofessional. Mr. Wulbern, however, took notes and asked pertinent questions. I paid him the retainer at the end of that first meeting. That was the best move I made in this long-running labor dispute. He handled the case efficiently and competently, filing paper work in a timely manner and taking into account my position and feedback. Throughout the process, he told me how he assessed the situation based on his years of experience, and most of the time we agreed, but when I wanted to push harder, he would oblige. Even in the follow up work, he tended to the details with care. What was icing on the cake was that he didn't layer on extra motions and copies and so on to add more charges to me. His billing was more than fair, and he even sent a refund for what remained of the retainer. The situation at the job was insane, but Shands brought level-headedness to the negotiations. I'm so glad a well-regarded attorney I know happened to recommend him.

After being terminated by my company when I filed an HR complaint, I did not know where to go or what to do. I was fortunate enough to meet Shands Wulbern. I was very nervous that my case wasn't large enough but he saw things in my case that I was not even aware of. With him on my side, I no longer felt like the underdog. Any time I had a question, he would give me a very thorough answer and would take the time to explain different options and scenarios. He made me feel like I was a priority and not just another "case". Mr. Wulbern is extremely knowledgeable, honest, reliable, and he truly cared about me and my case. Every step of the way I was informed, allowed to be in on the decision making process, with guidance of course. Thank you, Shands Wulbern for all your hard work. I would recommend you a million times over!!!!!! "
