Mr. Villaverde is my divorce attorney and coming from a household where my brother was a paralegal and my mother worked for for the New York State courts for 28 years, I couldn’t of asked for a more caring, strong, and compassionate attorney. It’s been my honor to know h to to been lucky enough to be blessed with his intelligence and heart
He recently won a relocation case for my fiancé & I ! Couldn’t be more thankful. He went above & beyond him & his team are amazing wonderful people. When I had my last he still made sure to prep me. So thankful from the bottom of my heart. If you want a good lawyer that’s going to get the job done, Mr. Villaverde is THAT GUY!
I lost my only child in a horrible car accident which brought on my divorce & it was ugly, I could hardly breathe & all was being taken away from me as I mourned deeply. Mr viilaverde and his wonderful staff worked my difficult case and helped me in ways most attorneys would not, seven days a week if nescessary, & when I thought he should be doing a particular thing because of my feelings, he knew best, Law!!! I thank them from every part of my heart. Fabulous lawyer with a strong staff that cares. Thanku!!! So very very much!!!! A law firm that gets & got the job done!!!
I would recommend the services of Mr. Sergio Villaverde because he truly was an attorney that was in tune with my needs during the divorce process and those of my children. He entire staff and himself acted in a professional and diligent manner. I was extremely pleased all went as discussed and I was kept in the loop at all times. Highly recommend him as a Attorney!
I was in the middle of a very messy separation from my long time partner and was having a lot of trouble getting any kind of child support. Once I started working with Mr. Villaverde everything went smoothly. Not only was he able to get me a temporary order of support at our first court date, he was able to get my child everything he was entitled to. I am so grateful to Mr. Villaverde and his whole office for all of the work they did.
sergio was a very nice person , but he didnt do me justice as a divorce attorney , showed up late to court and didnt keep me up to date with what was going on or explain alot about the whole process and I didnt feel he reperesented me very well
First of all, a lot to say, he is not very personable and is extremely incompetent. An example of his incompetence would be when he drafted a first draft of the Order to Show Cause, I asked for a rough draft for my approval and he proceeded to send the respondent via email the first draft of the order instead of sending it to me and his office staff for review. After I informed him via phone how upset I was that he shared confidential information with the respondent and how he could make such an idiotic mistake he quickly tried to deflect the blunder by stating he sent the rough draft of the order as a reply all to an earlier email I sent which had nothing to do with my Order to Show Cause, again showing his incompetence. Instead of taking accountability for the mistake he doubled down and stated that the respondent would eventually receive this information and sent me an email with several generic messages that are my right to privacy disclaimer. In addition to his incompetence while working with him I insisted several times he contact me via email rather than phone call unless it was an urgent or a complex matter that needed to be discussed because I knew he would charge for every phone call. Instead of taking my directive to email me this crooked lawyer persisted to call me over and over several times when I was at work and could not answer the phone calls, I immediately responded to him via email that I was at work and could not answer and he refused and continued to call. The worst part is he would leave me several voicemails each just a few seconds long simply stating to call him back and proceeded to charge me per voicemail. This imbecilic poor excuse for an attorney does not know how to receive or follow instructions. He also mailed my court date and court papers Fedex all in an attempt to charge my retainer over and over. He showed up late for court on my very first court date, did not know the facts of the case and on that same date sends me an invoice via Fedex, (again unnecessarily), which shows he exhausted the entire retainer plus according to his billing I owed him extra, not including the court appearance of course. He charged me for two phone calls on one occasion when I answered his phone call and the call dropped so I called him back. All of these phone calls made by this lawyer who does whatever he wants were after I insisted he send emails. He is deceptive he would call restricted and persistently call then charge per call whether or not I answered and the excuse was leaving me a voicemail that I did not request or need. After all of this I instructed him in an email that I was severing the attorney client relationship and to limit all communication going forward to email to which he immediately called me private and asked me if I sent that email he received despite having my email information. Shortly thereafter, I receive an email with a password encrypted attached consent to change attorney form that I needed to open with a password. He of course did not provide the password. You guessed it, he calls me a few minutes later to give me the password verbally after I explained to him that I was at work and did not have much time to talk I requested gain via email for the password and he of course never responded.
