Nicole S. Loeb is a partner in the Firm, practicing in the areas of Insurance Defense, Complex Personal Injury, Traumatic Brain Injury, Real Estate, Construction Defect and Maritime Law.Ms. Loeb’s legal expertise is incredibly diverse as she has been involved in high profile, international law matters including the Elian Gonzalez litigation, has seen great success in defending traumatic brain injuries claims and further, is a licensed real estate title producer who regularly represents financial institutions, corporations and individuals in real estate transactions/disputes. Representative cases include Lasseigne v. Taco Bell, 202 F. Supp. 2d 512 (ED.La.2002) where Nicole defeated a multi-million dollar claim for damages involving an alleged brain injury, caused by a choking incident, resulting in impotency, migraines and PTSD. After having all of plaintiff’s expert testimony on causation excluded under Daubert as unreliable, these claims were dismissed.Ms. Loeb’s insurance defense and construction practice is devoted to the representation of insurance companies and their insureds against property damage and personal injury claims, as well as prosecuting claims on their behalf. Ms. Loeb’s maritime practice is devoted to the representation of oil and gas producers, as well as oilfield contractors, defending them against personal injury and property damage claims and prosecuting claims on their behalf for property damage and lost revenues. Her litigation practice is divided between state and federal courts.In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Loeb is an active volunteer in the community. She has been recognized for her community service by the Louisiana State Bar Association, as well as by New Orleans CityBusiness magazine as a member of the “Power Generation” for her work as director of the Law Through Sports Program in public schools. More recently, Nicole was recognized as an outstanding Female Entrepreneur for 2014 at the Business Excellence Forum & Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada.Nicole graduated cum laude from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and thereafter received her Juris Doctorate from LSU in 1998.
