We have use Scott on a number of collection cases which he has handled very diligently and professionally always keeping us informed of the status.
As a business owner there always seem to be need for legal assistance and as with any other aspect of our business we want the best person for the job in all cases. Scott has always been a beacon and there to assist with our needs when we needed him and his team. We have enjoyed a great deal of success due to his effort and ability and I cannot think of anyone that i would trust to represent our interest over Scott.
Scott has done a tremendous job for us: he is aggressive yet fair, always communicates timely and returns calls/emails promptly. Our HOA Board highly and strongly recommend Scott Stevens for your collection matters.
If you, or anyone you know, needs help collecting on a B2B bad debt, Scott Stevens is the lawyer you need to hire. He was polite to my client and exhausted all paths to collection prior to initiating litigation. Once it was clear that we had to go through the courts, Scott patiently and diligently moved my case forward to a successful Judgement and Garnishment. Unfortunately, I did not know where my client's bank accounts were, but Scott had resources who helped us locate their bank account and resulted in a successful Garnishment. Scott has the determination and follow through to get the job done. He communicated with me regularly over 15 months to let me know the current status or latest filing and next steps going forward. I was amazed (and appalled) to learn how many documents had to be filed and how many trips Scott had to take to the courthouse and clerk of courts to collect the debt from my client. Scott earned every penny I paid him and then some. I am very grateful that Scott took on my case and I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a GREAT collection attorney!!
We would have rated Scott a "Very Good" if such a rank was provided. We rate him excellent, however, in his application of the law and his courtroom performance, as well as attorney-client interactions. Why not "Excellent" overall? The invoices, both in the preparation and in the sending, is the only reason. For much of the case, there was no who, what, and why reflected by each charge. To Scott's credit, however, he corrected this after being made aware of our concern As for the preparation by the billing department, it was not done on a regular basis, and there were many errors. One of the invoices, for instance, did not even include dates. Sometimes it appeared that there would be three bills covering the same period. It was a constant struggle to try to figure out whether some of the charges were duplications. Also, there was no indication on the charge as to who incurred the time. We did not expect to be billed for paralegal time at the attorney's rate. Fortunately, these complaints can be easily remedied. They did not substantively mar Scott's excellent work. The Board members were particularly impressed with his courtroom manner. In short, we would certainly consider hiring him again should the need arise. The Board My Mountain Phase 1 HOA.
