Scott Messinger is by far the best immigration lawyer I have ever worked with (and I've had quite a few bad experiences with others). A true professional in every sense of the word. He is patient, attentive, extremely knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable within minutes of meeting him. He worked hard on my case and guided me through the process with ease and confidence. Before he even asked my name and what I needed, he asked whether I have paid the $75 fee yet. Then provided NO service at all, other than to tell me that "I don't really deal much with this" and "maybe they aren't processing cases at all right now". I asked for my money back, at which point he offered to "look into my intake sheet". I instructed him not to, that I don't need his services (since I no longer trusted him to do anything for me), and that I just wanted my money back. He responded that the consultation fee was nonrefundable, that the fee was to "learn about my case" and that unfortunately he can't help everyone who has a consultation. I wonder exactly WHAT "consultation" he is talking about that he felt entitled to take my money for???

I tried working with Scott for a few years on an immigration case because a family member had referred him. He was horrible. He doesn't communicate throughout the process. When asked questions about the case he wasn't confident for a good outcome. He strung my case along for 3 years. Finally I took a risk and changed attorneys and let me tell you the best thing I ever did. I no longer felt like a case number but a human being. When I asked him to get my file back he was a complete clueless. He is by far the worst immigration lawyer out there.
