Murphy in 2012,  Ms. Murphy practiced U.S. immigration law as an associate attorney at the law firm of Serotte Reich Wilson LLP in Buffalo, New York for four years.  While in law school, she worked as a legal intern for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security with both U.S. Customs and Border Protection as well as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Ms. Murphy earned her law degree from the University at Buffalo. She possesses a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice from the State University of New York College at Brockport. While an undergraduate student, Ms. Murphy worked as an intern for New Scotland Yard in London, England and also worked as an undergraduate intern for the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office. Ms. Murphy is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
