Sarah J. Hartman is an attorney with Straub Seaman & Allen, P.C. Sarah is licensed to practice law in Michigan and Indiana, as well as the Federal District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Michigan, the Northern District of Indiana, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Sarah earned her J.D. from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. During her time at Cooley, she completed an externship at the Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Trustee’s office in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Sarah was also a founding member and officer of the Thomas M. Cooley Student Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.  Prior to her legal career, Sarah graduated with Honors from Ball State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Engineering Technology and Minor in Applied Physics. Sarah's practice focuses primarily on general civil litigation, including insurance defense and complex litigation matters.  Sarah’s areas of practice include representation of Architects and Engineers, real estate law, estate planning, employment litigation and municipal law. She has extensive experience with both transactional work and litigation in both state and federal courts. Sarah is actively involved in the community. She serves on the board of directors for the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra and previously for 100 Women Strong.  She has previously served on the board of the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek chapter of the Executive Women’s Golf Association and as a member of the grants committee for the local Susan G. Komen for the Cure affiliate.  Sarah lives in Stevensville, Michigan with Todd, her husband, and her dog Daisy. She enjoys music and is an accomplished violinist.
