About
Bill is a trial lawyer focusing his practice on personal injury, negligence, insurance bad faith, and social security disability cases. He has successfully obtained recoveries for individuals killed or injured in automobile accidents, car versus bicycle collisions, truck crashes, and those injured by dangerous property conditions. Bill has been representing injured people since he began practicing law in 2005. Through countless cases, he has developed courtroom expertise and experience that enable him to obtain just results for victims of negligence. Bill has recovered tens of millions of dollars for his clients. Bill enjoys the personal relationship that develops when working closely with a client to achieve the best outcome under the specific details of the situation. No two cases are the same. Each client deserves individual attention and a case plan tailored to the client’s needs and desires. Bill is an avid cyclist. He has competed in road cycling races and mountain bike races in the past, but these days he rides for fun, transportation and well-being. He often commutes several miles to work by bike, which keeps him intimately familiar with the conditions faced by cyclists who ride in close proximity to motorists. He also enjoys hiking, running, cross-country skiing, and snowboarding. When he has a chance to get away, it’s usually to go camping with his wife and their two daughters.

Long review to follow. If you’re not willing to read it, the short version is this: When you hire Bill Doutt you’re guaranteed to not only get great legal representation, but also someone who cares about you as person. I only write reviews for services that are exceptionally good or terrible. That said, I feel more than fortunate to have had Mr. Doutt (Bill) in my corner the two times I’ve been unlucky enough to need a lawyer. I first needed Bill’s services to file bankruptcy during graduate school. I assumed it would be a complicated and stressful mess, especially since I was in the process of moving out of state and trying to sell a house. I was completely mistaken. Bill’s extensive knowledge and straight forward approach not only helped ease the pain of the experience, but also helped me retain most of my assets. Thanks Bill! The real reason I’m writing this review though is because of his assistance when my wife was injured in a car accident (by no fault of her own). Her injuries required month after month of doctor’s appointments, evaluations, painful procedures, and more stress than she could handle. Sometimes that stress was about the building pile of medical bills and concern that the responsible driver’s insurance company would try something shady. Bill was an absolute Rockstar - he was easy to get on the phone and when my wife would call he always went the extra mile. He took whatever time was needed to explain all the potential outcomes and his feedback always included sincere empathy about the situation. Honestly, if he ever retires from law, he would make a great therapist. In the end, he helped my wife to recoup the highest amount of compensation possible, but the value of helping to keep her anxiety down was, as they say in the commercials, priceless. All told, Bill is a great guy and a great lawyer. I hope to never need his services again, but in the event that I need a lawyer, he will be the first person I call.
Mr. William Doutt represented me in an auto accident lawsuit. My case was very difficult, complex and challenging which took about 1 and 1/2 years to bring to a satisfactory conclusion. Hats off to Bill for wading through volumes (or should I say mountains) of medical papers. Being an extremely stressful time for me, I appreciated his patience, understanding and keeping me informed of the status of my case. Bill represents excellence, professionalism, knowledge, ethics, high morals and provides personal attention. I highly recommend Mr. Bill Doutt and the entire van Meveren Law Group.
Earlier this year, Bill Doutt and I put together my living will. His demeanor as a attorney made me feel at ease. He made me think I was speaking with a friend, and my comfort level with him made the legal process that much easier. I highly recommend Mr. Doutt to my friends and family.
My wife and I have used Mr. Doutt for a couple legal matters over the past 3 years. We found him to be very knowledgable and efficient in his work. He kept us well informed on our legal matters and payed great attention to detail. I would highly recommend Mr. Doutt. He is a true professional.
