About
Sam is a Graduate of the University of Missouri, Kansas City, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Political Science and a minor in Economics. He attended law school as well at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, where he graduated on the Dean’s list while working as a real estate agent and supporting his wife and family. While in law school, Sam was the Dean of the Delta Theta Phi legal fraternity as well as the President of the Federalist Society. Since becoming a member of the Missouri and Tennessee Bars in 2005, Sam has been active in many aspects of the legal community, but he is most proud of his involvement as a district coordinator and team coach for the Tennessee high school Mock Trial competition. Although beginning his legal career serving indigent defendants in General Sessions and Juvenile courts for Williamson County, Sam’s practice has become focused on civil litigation, most often involving residential real estate disputes. He has represented builders, contractors, homeowners, real estate agents, landlords, tenants and more. Sam has also engaged in litigation on behalf of consumers and businesses as well as representing plaintiffs and defendants related to personal injury disputes. Sam spent nearly 12 years working of counsel to the firm of Sidwell and Barrett, P.C. in Franklin before founding West Main Legal associates in January of 2018. Sam’s real estate experience, both as a real estate agent and investor, were essential in the development of the West Main legal Associates facility and serve him well as a lawyer representing parties involved in real estate related litigation.

Sam was referred to my brother and I for a rather complicated real estate sale. Neither my brother, nor I reside in Tennessee but had a rather large parcel to sell. The complications arose due to step siblings who were not being cooperative in the matter. Sam was referred by the attorney who we had hired to sort out probate and the title of the property. Once completed and we needed a local lawyer to handle the sale, as well as the suit filed to force the sale, we utilized Sam and were happy with the result. I can be fairly tough to deal with when emotion is involved (as it was here with family battling over an asset) and Sam was able to deal with me, as well as keeping me focused on the matters at hand without dragging this through the courts costing time and money. He is a very level headed gentleman who offerred us valuable services in a time of need. I greatly appreciated the job he did, and the fact we won without having to travel back and forth from out of sate. I would refer him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and kind lawyer who can be tough when needed, but ultimately focuses on what is right and legal taking the emotion out of a sticky situation.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SAM , HE IS AMAZING TO SAY THE LEAST! Getting a divorce is one of the most stressful times in my life & a nasty divorce is even worse. Sam & his office go beyond just being a lawyer! Just let me say he knows the law , will stand his ground , & works hard for his clients. This whole office made me feel at ease even when I could not see the light at the end of the tunnel ! I am forever grateful for the representation & help I received from Sam & Kaylyn !
Sam represented us in our adoption case and later in a juvenile case. Sam always had our best interests in mind. He was caring and thorough throughout the adoption process. On a second case, Sam represented us in juvenile court for the same child. He made sure our concerns were addressed and he was a voice for us as parents in a process where parents are often without representation and a voice in the process. We found Sam to be trustworthy and honest. He kept us informed before, during, and after the duration of our cases.
