We came to Samuel after a horrifying experience with another lawyer, hopeful for a better attorney/client relationship and actual results in our on-going real estate fraud case. Samuel didn’t just deliver the results we desired, he completely exceeded them, obtaining a unanimous jury verdict in our favor as well as an unexpected award for punitive damages! Additionally, Sam restored our faith that good people still exist – even lawyers! More importantly, Sam’s dedication to us, combined with his creative legal strategies, alleviated the mounting stress we had been feeling prior to working with him, allowing us to refocus on our family with confidence that Sam was taking care of everything leading up to, and throughout, trial. To say he is a phenomenal trial attorney would be an understatement! He helped change the trajectory of not only our case, but our life - and we will remain forever grateful for the results he gave us, as well as his friendship.

Mr. Doncaster gave me council on renter responsibilities for my daughter with her apartment. He was very thorough and helped me understand the letter of the law and also the likely outcome of my duaghter's decisions. I walked into the meeting feeling my back was against the wall and left with the comfort of presenting multiple options to my daughter and knowing what the potential and likely outcomes would be. Mr. Doncaster has a great bedside manner and his knowledge and ability to exlplain clearly are a huge help to those of us who have no prior dealings with the legal arena.

I was so impressed with Samuel Doncaster's expert handling of the disposition case. He was well prepared and extremely professional. I hold him in the highest regard and I certainly would recommend his services for anyone that is in need of an attorney that knows the law and gets the job done!

The feedback put on March 15, 2021, must be true. People should know why the 500 USD for "the first consultation" will be applied for a future retainer. The reason is that the "consultation" by Doncaster is mostly not about legal issues but mostly of inquiry about your financial standing (i.e., how much money you have) and how desperate you are, which Doncaster wants to know about more than legal issues of your case. Concisely speaking, his "consultation" cannot be charged as legal service in the first place. Normal lawyers give you a number about how much it may cost to go for a lawsuit, as a warning, and then ask if you are willing to pay, but Doncaster asks how much YOU HAVE without giving how much a lawsuit may cost. If you give info about your financial ability, Doncaster will add extra "work hours" to rip off your money, according to your financial ability.

I spoke with Sam and he indicated his desire to represent me. Sam told me he would send an engagement letter within a few days. Four months passed without receiving the engagement letter or any communication from Sam. I did not reach out to Sam during this time because as a client or potential client of an attorney, I have a minimum expectation that a lawyer does what he says he is going to do, when he says he is going to do it. Fast forward four months, Sam once again seeks me out, calling and telling me again he wants to represent me. Sam attributed his lack of follow through the first time to him trying to get his new law firm, Doncaster Law, up and running. We discussed a representation and what the terms of the representation would include. This time, Sam does send the representation agreement, but it is devoid of a term favorable to me that Sam had just agreed to hours before. Giving Sam the benefit of the doubt that this was an oversight, I emailed Sam and asked him to revise the engagement letter. Sam has not responded. Personally, I am beyond thankful that without hiring him, I learned about Sam and the way he conducts himself. As a consumer of legal services in the Phoenix area, I am disappointed that Sam and Doncaster Law are not going to fill a void of Plaintiff’s real estate lawyers who not only want to win but are trustworthy, fair, and care about their clients as much as much as they care about themselves. Sam is looking to charge high-end legal rates (he advertises $500 for a 50 minute consult, which even at a full hour far exceeds the hourly rate of many real estate attorneys with significantly more experience) and was wanting to charge a contingency fee 10-15% above market rates. All the while, Sam failed to provide bare minimum consideration, forthrightness, honesty, and respect. Sam is young in attorney years, but I hope he figures out that people who need legal services deserve better than this.
