Salvador Mungia graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 1984 with honors. After clerking for a Washington Supreme Court Justice in 1984-1985 and a federal district court judge in 1985-1986, he began private practice with Gordon, Thomas, Honeywell where he has practiced from 1986 to the present.Sal is a past president of the Washington State Bar Association, the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association, the Western States Bar Conference, and Legal Aid for Washington.  He is a member of invitation-only legal associations including the American Board of Trial Advocates and Litigation Counsel of America.  He has been designated as a "Super Lawyer" by Washington Law & Politics from 2008 to the present.  He is rates as AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell -- its highest possible rating for both ethics and legal ability.He has tried cases in federal and state courts throughout Washington State and has argued appeals at all levels of state and federal appellate courts.  A primary focus of Sal's practice is medical negligence actions on behalf of patients.  Sal has represented clients in lawsuits against doctors, nurses, emergency room physicians, and nursing homes involving death, paralysis, brain injuries and loss of life to babies.  Sal also represents clients in civil rights actions, real property disputes, contract disputes, condemnation actions, and commercial and business litigation.  Sal has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America in the fields of personal injury litigation for plaintiffs, civil rights law, commercial litigation, and appellate practice.
