He presented my case in court and at one point in his argument the judge saw that Ryan was presenting an argument that she had probably never heard and she paused. Unfortunately she didn't have the guts to admit that his argument carried weight and it made a lot of sense. I was sitting anonymously in the back and I thought, "he's got her." But she folded her hand and upheld for the State but complimented him on his work. "I'm thinking, right you tell him what a great job he did and then deny his argument. That makes a lot of sense." I lost my license for a year but it wasn't because of Ryan. I don't plan on getting into this situation again but if I did I'd be calling him at 3 o'clock in the morning and there is no doubt he would be there to back me up.

I did some research on vacating convictions prior to contacting any attorneys. Although in many cases you can file a motion with the appropriate court on your own behalf, I would not recommend it. I was referred to Ryan by another attorney after it became evident that he was not an expert in this area. Ryan was clearly knowledgeable with the laws and administrative requirements in this matter. He quickly gained my confidence and respect by effectively communicating the various options and possible ramifications of each choice. Although a successful outcome is never guaranteed, the judge granted the motion to vacate the conviction.
