Our case involved an attempt by park mngmnt to ammend our 5 year lease signed last year. It would have involved considerable rent increases in our 55+ mobile home park. Attorney Prophett represented a large group of Senior Citizens concerning the overturning of a signed five year lease by the Rent Control Board, that had been in effect for almost one year. This lease had been signed in good faith by the residents, owners and Rent Control Board in June of 2016. The owners, at a meeting with the Rent Control Chairman in May of 2017, asked for an increase in residents rent that had already been negotiated last year and agreed upon. Mr Prophett litigated our case perfectly and was able to convince the Rent Control Chairman this would be a grave mistake over turning a signed legal document that had been agreed upon by all concerned.
