About
Ryan Huffman is a trial lawyer with a background in defending clients accused of crimes, including working at the Maricopa County Public Defender’s Office, as well as the Federal Public Defender’s office in Tucson during law school, and in his work as an attorney in private practice since being licensed by the Arizona State Bar. As a member of Nesci & St. Louis, he represents individuals accused of DUIs, misdemeanors and felony offenses at courts in Tucson, Pima County and throughout Arizona.Ryan has vigorously represented accused individuals throughout all stages of litigation, including trials and appeals. His experience includes both misdemeanor and felony criminal matters. He has a particular familiarity with motion practice, seeking to have his clients’ cases dismissed prior to trial, and is passionate about advocating against unethical police tactics and procedures. Ryan has had success in jury trials, winning acquittals for his clients on charges including DUI allegations of having a blood alcohol concentration as high as .131. Ryan also successfully demonstrated in a DUI jury trial that a reported breath test result of .250 was unreliable, resulting in a complete acquittal of all BAC charges for his client.Ryan is an Arizona native and graduated from Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law (ASU Law) in 2016. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arizona, where he majored in Political Science.Since joining Nesci & St. Louis, Ryan has focused on pretrial litigation and trial work in DUIs, misdemeanors and felonies in courts throughout Arizona. When not defending individuals accused of crimes, Ryan’s interests include studying Arizona’s history, traveling, volunteering, and spending time with his friends and family.

I had just been arrested and charged for speeding and an super extreme DUI & thought my life was over. I had hit rock bottom and couldn't find the way up. After talking with Ryan he gave me the true breakdown of my case and more importantly gave an honest review of my chances of fighting this. He did not try to sell me on fake hope but gave honest knowledgeable feedback. Through his hard work and dedication to my case it became clear he knew what he was doing & there was indeed a light at the end of the tunnel. He not only got the charges dismissed but continued to lend advise even after the fact. I couldn't speak any higher of him or the staff at Nesci & St. Louis. Everyone there made you feel welcome and secure from the moment you walked in till the moment you left. Wonderful people and wonderful attorneys.
I recently had a very ridiculous case and Ryan went above and beyond working for me. Ryan had the case thrown out before it even reached pre trial. If you want a lawyer who will actually be there for you and work for a easy and fast dismissal he’s your guy. The pricing is also very reasonable. I highly recommend him to anyone needing help.
After going through what seemed to be the darkest, most difficult time I have ever been through in my life, there are not enough words to describe the way I feel about Ryan Huffman and the entire Nesci & St. Louis firm. Nearly a year ago, I was charged with three misdemeanors—a DUI, an extreme DUI, and an excessive speeding charge. I felt like my life was over. At 24-years-old, barely getting started with a career, and with my dreams of becoming a federal LE agent, I was sure I could kiss my life and career goodbye. After thorough research, I stumbled across Nesci & St. Louis and decided to meet with Mr. Huffman. From the moment I met him I felt hope. In fact, he was the only thing in my life that I was sure about. He radiated his confidence and passion and assured me he would do everything in his power to help me with my case. I could see it in his eyes, he was there to help ME. To the people I knew, that also knew the unfortunate situation I was in, I always described Ryan Huffman as a “shark”. I would say, “He is incredible at what he does, he was going after my case, and my defense, full force”, and he did not let me down. After almost a year of going back and forth with my case and the courts, all while the ongoing pandemic, Ryan Huffman (the shark) got all my charges dismissed. I am eternally grateful to have had his expertise, erudite knowledge, and passion at my side. So, to anyone going through something similar to what happened to me, Ryan Huffman is your guy. To him and the whole Nesci & St. Louis cadre, I owe you my life and this second chance I was given. I am forever indebted to you. Thank you.
You always hope you'll never need an attorney, but when your life hits rock bottom and just keeps piling on, you need someone who is truly in your corner. I won't go into the details of my case, but suffice to say I was climbing up from the lowest point in my life after having been arrested and almost losing my job, managing to salvage said job and slowly coming back from the brink, only to be knocked down again when COVID restrictions lifted and my pandemic-delayed case was making its way through the system when I found out I would be facing (additional) jail time as a portion of the punishment the city attorney was seeking. Panicking, I did a bit of research online and eventually settled on calling Nesci and St. Louis and eventually met with Mr. Huffman. The day of my consultation, number one, he LISTENED to me...REALLY listened. He was confident he could help me, and while he made no guarantees, he assured me he would do his very best to get the most favorable result possible. Though this was just the first step, I left his office feeling more confident than I had in quite a while, and I knew that this was the "right" attorney to handle my case. Throughout the negotiation process with the city attorney assigned to my case, Mr. Huffman and his paralegal kept me informed every step of the way, answering every one of my questions patiently and completely. Fast forward several more months, when I received a phone call outlining my plea offer to include no additional jail time, tears of joy were the only thanks I could offer, and a "thank you" wasn't, and never will be, nearly enough. Criminal charges are never fun, and an unknown outcome can drive one's stress level up sky high, but Mr. Huffman and his staff are completely dedicated to their clients and will fight tooth and nail to get you the very best results possible. Five stars isn't nearly enough.
I hired Ryan after being arrested for a crime I knew I was not guilty of. Ryan quickly realized the police did not gather the evidence needed to prove their case and convinced the prosecutor to drop the case before it ever started. He acted quickly and kept me informed every step of the way. I would recommend him to anyone needing a criminal defense attorney.
