About
Why I Practice Family LawBeing a family law attorney always felt like the right path for me. I am the youngest of three children and come from a blended family. The troubles and emotional roller coasters of handling holidays, summer parenting time and joint school events was not easy, but my parents handled it well.I have always had an ability to connect with people and understand their perspective. This has been a great strength in helping people through divorce and custody disputes. As I know firsthand both the struggles and the blessings of being part of a blended family, I am able to use that knowledge to be proactive in my client’s cases, ensuring that their legal rights are protected and their goals are accomplished. I feel very fortunate that I get to help people find a better path forward. About MeAlthough I grew up in Arkansas, and graduated from the William H. Bowen School of Law in 2013, my entire family relocated to the Pacific Northwest. From the very beginning of my career, I chose to help people with family law issues, whether related to divorce and custody disputes, or estate planning through drafting wills and trusts. I am licensed to practice in both Oregon and Arkansas. In a previous life, I spent 10 years helping people as a certified pharmacy technician while I worked my way through college and law school. In my free time you can find me watching the Timbers, exploring a new bar, planning a movie marathon, or trying a new recipe. If you had to ask me what my top-five favorite films are, in no particular order, I would say: Jaws, The Sure Thing, Top Gun, The Princess Bride, and Con Air. It took a few years, but I think I’ve convinced everyone in the office that John Cusack can’t make a bad film.

I hired Megan Paull to represent me in a restraining order, divorce and custody case in January 2018. Having never been in my particular situation before, I was nervous and, at times, grumpy. Megan and her team, Taylor and Mychal, helped to explain even minute details of my case to me. My case took a year to come to trial, I received weekly updates. Megan arrived early for the trial and was very well prepared. Even though I no longer reside in Oregon, I would recommend Megan Paull for anyone who needs a family law attorney.
Megan is amazing! She is thorough, attentive, and detailed which is just what I want when working on our wills, trust, advanced directive. Megan takes the time to research caveats, is accountable and says 'I don't know. Let me find out' when she runs across a new situation. That humility and honesty is refreshing in the professional community. I have recommended Megan to several people and will continue to do so. She's fantastic and makes me feel well taken care of in the legal world.
I met Megan and she is very caring and thoughtful. I would trust to refer anyone to her.
I am so impressed with Megan and how she takes care of her clients. I know that she puts forth lots of effort to make sure the job is done right. I highly recommend her services to anyone who wants or needs an excellent attorney.
Awful. Had my case today and my lawyer Megan basically gave up on me after the first 15 minutes of the case when she said the judge made up his mind. She didn't look at my messages regarding the lies with the surprise witness and when I asked her to call me back after she lost my case she ignored me and told me to schedule another appointment with her the next day to discuss. When she finally came to the phone after the receptionist even agreed she was unprofessional she said she didn't want to talk to me that night because "needed someone to blame" and that nothing she said would have changed the judges mind. And I'm sure they won't hesitate on still sending a final bill. Do not use them and if you do don't use Megan. As her client she should have listened and read my messages as she asked me to send her during the case. If an unannounced witness takes the stand, her client asked her questions...she should have asked for a moment to discuss with me so I could talk to her and give her information. She didn't even think of it. She got flustered and didn't know what to do. She is definitely a novice charging ridiculous rates for her non-services. It has been 28 days, not still trying to find someone to blame, I know who messed up here. Still paying the bill is salt on the wound.
I found attorney Megan Paull via google search for Sherwood Family law. At the time I didn't care with the fact that she is less than a year in experience. I honestly think I can fight my custody battle as long as I have all the evidence but I am wrong, experience has a lot to do with the law. I have sole custody for children but because I didn't know that even though I have sole custody, I still need the court and exparte to approve for me to move if I want to move more than 60 miles away with the children. Because My ex has been try to get custody from me all these years but he couldn't and because i didn't follow the proper procedure to file with the court for "intend to move", so he filed a status quo and motion wanting to take custody of my children from me. On the hearing day this morning, attorney Megan Paull was 25 minutes late to court. She gave a reason with traffic. Even though Judge Thompson waited until attorney Paull arrived to start the hearing but Judge had already made up her mind before she entered the court room. Judge gave the opposing a chance to talk and grant his request. Everything happen within 5 minutes. Neither attorney Paull or myself get to speak. I lost with my status quo case and need to wait for the final hearing in January meaning I will have to resign from my job if I can't extend my leave to stay in Oregon. I understand that nothing in trial is guarantee because it's all depends on the Judge decision, but attorney Paull knows she lives in Vancouver, she should have know there will be traffics coming into Oregon. She knows court time is 08:30am, she should have made herself be at the court on time. An excuse of stuck in traffics is unreasonable for me. After the trial, I was speechless and asked her if she had file a respond yet, and she told me that because I was served on 9/27, she has until 10/27 to file a respond for me. I am so worry that she will be late too, so now I have to search for a different lawyer to represent me. Honestly, had I know this is the way Attorney Megan Paull is, I think I better off with represent me myself. It cost me thousands so far with her and in the end she was late to my hearing day.
