About
A native of Oklahoma, I was born and raised in Harrah, about 25 miles east of Oklahoma City. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance as a member of the University’s Price College of Business Presidential Leadership Class. Following my undergraduate degree, I attended the Oklahoma City University School of Law, where I was an active member of the Phi Alpha Delta professional law fraternity, voted by my peers as Member of the Year 2006-2007. I earned my Juris Doctorate (JD) at the Oklahoma City University School of Law, a law school fully accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) Council of the Section on Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar, and a member of the Association of American Law Schools (AALS).I began my legal career as a civil defense lawyer representing insurance companies and private citizens in personal injury cases including automobile accidents, oilfield accidents and products liability. As an attorney in the insurance defense industry, I successfully handled multi-million dollar litigation and obtained favorable outcomes for my clients. In addition to handling defense in civil cases, I am also an experienced criminal defense attorney. In 2009, I began working as a sole practitioner representing clients in criminal cases in state and federal courts across Oklahoma. Through innovative and assertive defense strategies, I have provided effective representation and obtained successful results for criminal defendants in state and federal cases ranging from DUI and traffic crimes to felony sex offenses.I am a member of the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Oklahoma County Bar Association, the Pontotoc County Bar Association, and the Bar of the Chickasaw Nation. I am admitted to practice in all Oklahoma State Courts as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Oklahoma.

Mr. Coventon has helped my husband and I through a really tough time. His patience and understanding helped to alleviate the fear and doubt we were both feeling. Mr. Coventon took the time to sit with us both a answer all of our questions, and believe me, we had many. He was extremely patient and thoughtful and never made us feel like we were bothering him, even when I know we were. Thank you Mr. Coventon.
My lawyer was very excellent. He fought with me through court and made sure I had fair hearings. He prevented me from going to jail by having me do four years of probation. I'm very pleased and I would definitely recommend him as my lawyer again and recommend him for anybody else.
I contacted 3 other attorneys before I contacted Ryan Coventon about my issue. One wouldn't bother with it, and the others told me what I wanted the outcome to be couldn't possibly be done. They were more than happy to take my money (same amount as Ryan's fee) but told me the outcome could not and would not be what I wanted or expected. Ryan not only got my expected outcome, but returned my calls and was a champion on my issue the entire time -- even after the fee was paid (unheard of with other attorneys). Don't waste your precious time -- call Ryan first!
Ryan was absolutely wonderful and really cared about my case. He was very proffesional and cared about me. He made sure that I understood the process and helped alleviate any worries that I had. Hopefully I wont have to, but I would definitely hire him again.
Thank You for great service in my case
From beginning to end, followed through with what he said he could do for me. I couldn't have asked for a more Helpful Person. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND Ryan to anyone. He's Kind & Considerate. Always answered my calls and my questions. The situation I found myself in was bad (that's why I hired Ryan) but the experience using Ryan was calming. He definitely knows his "stuff." Thanks Ryan.
slightly higher retainer, although it's nice to know up front that I had a flat rate up to trial. drove across the state for me for a criminal charge against me. could have given me some more time to consider the plea deal that was eventually arranged, but sometimes that's just how it goes I suppose. Ultimately if you have a criminal charge you are at the mercy of the DA, who is paid to destroy your life, so it was comforting to have a competent professional help me arrange a deal that would have been impossible for me to do alone, and not very likely with the court appointed attorney who has a million cases and is difficulty to qualify for anyway. I don't know, the situation I had gotten myself into was really terrible and Ryan helped keep me out of jail, so basically it was worth it.
Basically screwed me over on a domestic case which should have gone to trial. He had me enter a plea arrangement and showed up on the court date completely unprepared. Ended up screwing me and my daughter over big league. Now she's living with her abusive mother and I have no contact with her because I can't afford more courts and lawyers. Still paying off fines. This guy ruined my daughters relationship with her father and he doesn't care. It should have gone to trial. If you hire RC then you should be prepared to pay a lot and take this to trial. Also, make sure he's prepared before you step into the court room.
