About

Nashville divorce attorney Ryan A. Claxton personally has been affected by family law issues and that has impacted his decision to help guide men through the divorce process.“I feel very strongly about helping others who may need it during such a challenging time in their lives,” Mr. Claxton said.Mr. Claxton can easily relate to others and understands that the stressful or unpleasant legal issue they are dealing with doesn’t define them.“I’m going to do everything I can to get you the outcome you deserve, and I’m going to work as hard as I can on your case because I know it’s your life at stake,” he said. “However, in family law, you need to be prepared for just about everything because you never know what the other side is going to do or what they have up their sleeve.”Prior to joining Cordell & Cordell, Mr. Claxton practiced domestic and criminal law, and also has some government affairs experience.

DO NOT ever hire Ryan Claxton. He is a snarky, unprofessional, inexperienced con man masquerading as a divorce attorney. He took $1200 to retain his "services", accomplished absolutely nothing, then sent a bill for an additional $4200. He was caught sending emails to my ex-wife's attorney saying things such as "I always get the bad clients..." and "This guy isn't going to get anything." He told me time and time again that no judge would grant 50/50 custody of my children. I begged him to fight for this and begged my ex-wife to grant it. He refused. The first case we heard the day of my divorce the judge granted the former couple 50/50 custody of their children, and said "50/50 is always best." My ex wife makes 100k a year, has the kids for all but two weekends a month, got the house, and I still have to pay HER child support even though I was unemployed at the time of the divorce. Clearly Ryan has NO clue how to help anyone through a divorce. Avoid this scum bag at all costs.
