My legal career started as a paralegal with a tenants' rights group. The organization provided legal services (including representation) to tenants facing eviction. Many of the people were victims of crimes, work injuries, or unfortunate circumstances. I watched how many of these people tried to take on the system themselves and lose. I wanted to help even the playing field.Since then I have helped people navigate the unforgiving legal system. I worked with the Cook County Public Defender representing defendants in misdemeanor cases. Each case I took to trial, I obtained not guilty verdicts for my clients. By making use of my research and investigation skills, countless other cases were dismissed or the prosecutor decided not to pursue the charges.I also worked with a personal injury firm representing people injured by the negligence of others.
