Mr. Nelson handled my complicated case with skill and speed. He stayed calm even though I was very stressed. I had previously hired another lawyer and it had been a very negative experience. I so wish I had gone with Mr. Nelson in the first place. I would recommend him to anyone I know.
Having to use the services of an attorney is not something I look forward to. Unfortunately I have been in the position due to accidents and for insurance reasons to need one. This time around on a friends referral I used Roy Nelson to represent my family after a "no fault of our own" car accident. From the get go, I realized we were not a number or another file in Mr. Nelson's case load but a valued client. Mr. Nelson was very helpful with assisting us through the insurance maze that was before us. We had COBRA at the time of the accident, then I got my primary coverage a few months later and then my company switched insurance providers. My wife was anxious with all the bills coming our way and of course you can imagine the insurance companies got their wires crossed. Mr. Nelson and team have straightened it all out with the various providers and gave us peace of mind. I am also someone who expects pretty immediate responses when I send an email to my attorney or leave a voice mail with a question. Within 24 hours and generally day of I always have had my answer. Mr. Nelson has been very straightforward and strategic with how he has handled this case; looking out for us and explaining everything along the way in as much detail as we have possibly needed. My case is pending but I felt compelled to write and let others know how wonderful we have been treated by Mr. Nelson and team compared to other attorneys we have used in the past. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to actually be able to talk to their attorney and get sound, credible advice to utilize his services. Furthermore, as we have gotten to know Mr. Nelson through this process he has connections all over the city and has a long and outstanding track record. I can confidently say he will be my future attorney if the need ever arises.
Extremely disappointed in my experience with this attorney. I was in a bind and hired Roy believing that he would be there & support me during my difficult time. Roy failed to attend two court dates which resulted in a warrant being issued for my arrest. In addition, I had an appointment scheduled with him and not only did I drive 45 minutes to meet him but he was a no show and wouldn’t answer calls or text.. Even after I left he never called back, no text, nothing. Truly does not care about his clients at all..
My GF and I had an argument in July of 2017. It included a very minor physical component (I suffered a couple barely visible scratches on my arms. After a day I ended up contacting local police because she had taken off with my car and I had no idea if she was bringing it back. I told the police that my scratches were insignificant and I had no interest in pressing any charges . 6 months later (my GF and I had reconciled) we get notice that an overzealous prosecutor decided to charge her with Domestic Abuse. On the advice of a friend we hired Mr Nelson and paid him in advance. Weeks went by and the next thing we know we are notified by the court that my GF had a warrant for failure to appear. He had missed her court date and we called multiple times a day for a week trying to get ahold of him. I had to threaten to contact the state bar before he finally answered our calls and took care of the warrant. We had no meetings to plan strategy but he gave us the impression that likely the case would be dropped. When her day in court came it was not dropped, instead she ended up with a fine, and a duty to attend weekly useless expensive classes for most of a year as well as a big chunk of community service. I'm convinced we couldn't have done any worse if she went in without a lawyer! They had no case but with Mr Nelson sheepishly advised that she accept the deal. I don't think he spent 10min on her case; he just showed up to rubber stamp the deal the prosecutor offered. Useless representation.
