Rosy is the best lawyer you can get in the Bay Area. She handled my family immigration case so professionally. She is one of the few lawyers who genuinely care for you and hope for your best future. Once she takes your case, she looks after your case as if it's her own on both personal and professional grounds. My family absolutely loved her for her hard work and dedication. During sessions, she really takes out all her time, sits with you, listens to you and helps you see a bigger picture. When we won our case, she was more happy than us like you could literally see it in her eyes. With her, we felt welcomed and heard. I definitely recommend her to everyone looking for professionalism and seriousness. With her, every time and money is worth it. I just wish I could give her more than five stars for everything she's done for me and my family.
If you are looking for a deportation defense attorney, PAY ATTENTION HERE!!!!!!! Most of immigration attorneys are not very expertise in deportation defense because they mostly only do visas and etc. Rosy is different, not only she is very knowledge in immigration visas but she is also very expertise in deportation defense. This is my first review on AVVO and the reason I am doing this is because Rosy is really great and amazing and she saved my life. I hope my post would help people who are seeking the same need. Basically, I received a deportation notice after I passed my in-person citizenship interview. It was a disaster for me, I was very surprised that I was getting deported as a green card holder for something was expunged and misdemeanor (I did not spend a day in jail or prison), and my attorney told me that I could apply for citizenship 5 years later after the plea (Apparently my criminal attorney didn't know anything). I became very picky at choosing attorney after I learned it in a hard way that hiring an attorney to fight for your case is VERY IMPORTANT!! I spent the money to consult with many good deportation defense attorney for their advices but none of them could come up with better advice than Rosy suggested. I also asked them if they know Rosy Cho and they all had a lot of respect for Rosy and told me that if Rosy took my case then it will be well handled. Rosy is very detailed person and she took my case very seriously and spent a lot of efforts to go over all the evidences to prove my innocence. She reads every single line of the report carefully and asks right question, not just scan it through. Her deep analysis and understanding on the case really made my case very strong. I wish I had hired Rosy back then. I still remember Rosy did an excellent job in our first hearing. She was firm and knew what she was doing strategically. When we left the court room someone actually came up to Rosy and asked Rosy for help, that's how impressive Rosy was in the court room!! My deportation was terminated shortly and Rosy also helped me to get my conviction vacated. Rosy not only helped me to get my convict vacated and deportation terminated but also helped to obtain US citizenship just within few months. Now I have received US citizenship certification and US passport. Thanks to Rosy now I don't need to worry about getting deported!!!!! Highly recommend those who are having legal concerns to have a consultation with Rosy before making any decision. I wish I had met Rosy before I applied for US citizenship and didn't listen to my inexperienced lawyer. Now I am US citizen and do not need to worry about getting deported. Thanks a lot Rosy!!!!!
Rosy is the best immigration lawyer I ever came in contact with -- she is very knowledgeable, caring and honest. I found out about Rosy from Yelp and AVVO (better for lawyer reviews) and I met her along with my wife for a consultation where I ended up having her represent me, and I successfully obtained my green card thanks to her. The first time I met Rosy for a consultation I could tell she was very knowledgeable because she knew that there was a chance to adjust my immigration status right after listening to me and my wife very patiently, whereas other immigration lawyers had told me that “unless there was a change in immigration law” I would not be able fix my status. Rosy showed she sincerely cared about our situation with a level of sympathy I never saw in any other lawyer. She made me and my wife feel so comfortable during the consultation where we were sharing our story through tears, she gave us plenty of time to explain and express our concerns and she assured us we could really fix my situation. After telling Rosy our story it became clear to me and my wife that she was the lawyer we wanted, so we asked her to represent me. Rosy was also very honest about the duration of the process, the risks involved and the cost of her services. She explained the whole process from beginning to end from how long my case would take to the forms we would need to file and all the different documentation we would need. She told us about some of the risks I could face in my case and reassure us that there were not too many things to worry about if we decided to go forward. At the end of our consultation she was upfront about how her fees were structured and gave us a monthly payment plan. --If you need an immigration lawyer Rosy is the best out there - I consulted with many others before finding her. --A little bit about my case: I needed a 601 waiver, had citizen spouse and citizen kids, total case duration to receiving green card was a little over 2 years
This review has been long over due. Rosy is my hero. I apoligize if my delated review might have delayed your finding Rosy. Immigration issue was like a nightmare to me. I know that feeling. I finally could really smile now after 18 years. With Rosy's help, I can finally not to be scare of separating with my children. And I am in a process getting my naturalization. Of course , I chose Rose, with my the past issue with immigration process and getting so many scam or lousy lawyers experience, I never would want to risk anything might affect my children's wellbeing. Rosy is a lawyer who has a golden heart. She cares!!! I had two rounds appeal with ninth circus already. There was a lawyer who said she will charge me a few thousands to just to look into my case. But Rosy gave me a set price after looking thorough my case, and allow me to make monthly payment. I still remember that holiday, she gave me a break, so that I can afford to buy a few nice things for the family. ( I am tearing up again). Rosy pointed out to me that my previous lawyer charged me two lawyers same whole day had a meeting on my case, which was outraged and not right. They charge me $800 for 8 hours in a single day! Instead taking me as a fool, Rosy gave me dignity. Honestly, she is the first professional, beside my children's pediatrician, that I felt like is human being and treating me like a human being. She also told me you also have the right to say no to things. Rosy, for real, you are my hero. There are two immigration lawyers who scam me big time. The first one who ironically got heart attach by all his wrong doing. He accepted like $20,000 fee and doing nothing, absolutely nothing, they always acted like, they were the god, and I only met the lawyer for no more that four occasion, he hired a associate to write for him, might be that is one of the things to pay attention, if someone who has associate to write for the main lawyer, they might either a scam or always over charge. This is just totally my experience and for reference. 17 years ago, I barely read or speak English, but I did remember that first lawyer didn't even bother to reframe words to write his brief for me. He made a copy of a book as a reference. But how could I tell bad then. And the second one basically scam me unreasonable high fee. Rosy has a heart and mostly importantly, she is very knowledge and competent with immigration law. If your case is in a dead end, you will hear a honestly answer from her like my friend, some another lawyer might tell you, "oh , you would be fine, I have these way, you r good citizen....." and they charged fees and fees. She knows the law throughly, my case was a dead case, I had big boo boo with the immigration process. I think she is the only one who could save me, and she did. Without Rosy, I can not sitting here today typing on my fancy computer (which was a second-hand Apple Mac), and hearing my children giggling in the bedroom. Rosy, I treasure every minute and everything I can have today. Thank you for making this a reality and thank you for being such a wonderful person, and you intelligent brain save my family!!!
Rosy Cho is an amazing lawyer and a wonderful human being. Rosy Cho helped me win my immigration case when my previous lawyer had given up on my case. Rosy Cho and her assistant, Rebecca, were in constant communication and were always willing to help with prompt responses regarding any questions/concerns. When it came to interviewing, Rosy Cho took the time to make sure we had all the relevant materials and she also did mock interviews with me, which I found really helpful. She won't waste your time so once she takes your case, make sure you are willing to put an effort into it. She is straight forward, knowledgeable, efficient, sympathetic, and a great lawyer.
Rosy is extremely professional, experienced and knowledgeable. She and her assistant Rebecca respond quickly and work hard to win my case. She takes time to listen to facts of my case and gives in depth and great attention to preparation on my green card process. I'm so happy and relieved now that I finally have my green card. If anybody is looking for the best immigration attorney, I would strongly recommend Rosy Cho.
From the first meeting, Rosie was very understanding and sympathetic. She gave me the PROS and CONS for the actions we will be taking and let me know the BEST CASE and WORST CASE scenarios. At the interview, she was very helpful in keeping the immigration officer on track to the subject on hand. The ultimate result was that I was recommended for US citizenship and took my Oath in less than 30 days later. Thank you Rosie for all your help and support. You and your office are definitely highly recommended!
Rosy is AMAZING!! Not only is she an expert in her field, but she is highly responsive over email, and is a genuinely caring and compassionate human being. She was not merely my legal consultant, but my emotional support during unexpected twists and turns in my husband's immigration application. Largely thanks to Rosy, our story had a happy ending, with my husband finally being able to join me in the US with his Greencard. She's also an unusual lawyer in not being constantly focused on the financial bottom-line. For example, when she had to work overtime on our case due to an unexpected snag, she didn't charge me her full hourly rate because she said the snag wasn't either my or my husband's fault. I'm not sure how many other lawyers would have had that much honesty, integrity, and basic human kindness! Honestly, I can't praise her enough. Trust her - she will get the job done with proficiency and compassion!
I am so grateful that I have found Rosy to help with my immigration case. She is seriously a godsent. I have a relatively complicated case, and wanted to adjust status within the U.S based on marriage to a U.S. citizen. Other lawyers who I have consulted prior to finding Rosy either told me that it would be impossible, or that I would need to go back to my home country in order to adjust status and I could be there waiting for months while my job is on hold and at a risk that it won't get approved and I won't be able to come back into the States. I was pretty scared at the risk and dejected by a lack of a consistent response or no response from other lawyers, and then in comes Rosy. Rosy responds to her emails promptly, and she immediately put me at ease during our first consultation. She is very honest with the reality of the situation and after carefully reviewing my information, she reassures me that I can adjust status in the U.S, and many people adjust their status here without needing to go back to their home country. Her price is reasonable and there are no hidden fees later. She is very clear with explaining the process, and she is patient and continues to answer follow-up questions throughout the process. She is able to see things clearly and keep the process simple and straightforward. She provides checklists and timeline of what to do, so I just followed her checklist to gather all necessary documents. She would review all the documents in person with me and my husband before she helps me process the application. Her office keeps track and notifies me of all the USCIS notifications, so I never miss a notice. We would also meet again prior to the interview. Throughout the process, Rosy is reassuring and knowledgeable. She was right there with me for the interview and was a calming force. I was anxious and a little skeptical at how smooth the process would go, especially after all the negativity from other lawyers before. I highly recommend and trust in Rosy's guidance. I am so grateful I found her through the reviews here on Avvo, and now that my case is a success with obtaining work/travel authorization and a green card all within ~6 months, I want others to know about Rosy and how helpful she is. She is an excellent lawyer, so if in doubt, I suggest just sending her a email and inquiring about your case.
From my 1st interview to the denied letter, it took more than two years. I got stuck in my immigration process, the 1st lawyer (Jxxxx Bxxx) who is rated 10 massed up my case. I decided to look for other lawyer to help me to solve the denied letter. However, I visited 2 more top 10, they both scare me away. I came to visit Rosy. I was little bit nervous and hopeless before I meet her because she is the 4th attorney I look for help. After an hour consultation, she explained to me with confidence and took my case. She took my case as her own and help me well prepared. When she’s with me in the interview, she strongly convinces the officer. Rosy help me to get my status in only 3 months. If you need a lawyer who can really help and fight for you. I strongly recommend her to you.
