Rosendo Almaraz, Jr. is a Rio Grande Valley native, hailing from Weslaco, Texas. Rosendo was raised by his parents, Rosendo Almaraz, Sr., and Herminia "Minie" Almaraz, a GTE cable splicer and a licensed vocational nurse. Although his parents worked long, hard hours, they always made time for their family. Along with his two brothers and sister, they led a healthy Christian life and never needed anything, always having their parents’ love and support. After graduating from Weslaco High School in the top 5% of his class with honors, Rosendo attended St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas, where he received both his Bachelor of Arts degree and Doctor of Jurisprudence.After graduating and passing the Texas Bar exam in 2000, Rosendo began his legal career with the Hidalgo County District Attorney's office as an Assistant DA. Throughout the first six years of his legal career, Rosendo worked for a few firms throughout South Texas, gaining the valuable experience and knowledge needed to open his own practice in 2006.
