About
As a wildlife biologist and natural resource attorney, I am able to couple a deep understanding of the scientific principles underpinning environmental and natural resource issues with a thorough grasp of the law to represent my clients’ interests in private and public land use and development. I am an experienced litigator, primarily specializing in litigation focused on administrative appeals, judicial review of administrative decisions, and state and federal land use plans and determinations involving wildlife management, mining claims, oil and gas development, timber harvest, livestock grazing, and other uses of public and private lands. Additionally, I regularly prepare comprehensive original, updated, and supplemental drilling, division order, and acquisition mineral title opinions involving fee, state, and federal lands. I have authored numerous title opinions covering lands in the Bakken, Niobrara, Powder River, and Denver-Julesburg Basins, and frequently assist clients in title curative matters, including negotiating and drafting varied mineral and surface title instruments.
