Paid for a consultation on a real estate transaction where the seller did not disclose a major situation which would have resulted in our not buying the property had we known about the major defect. Then decided to hire Rodney and paid a retainer. No progress in case, finally on my persuasion he took a statement from a witness that proved the seller had prior knowledge of defect. An additional invoice from Rodney for this phone call was issued but we did not know about it, it was a small amount $100. Still we heard nothing from him and we wrote emails and phoned him numerous times, finally we went to his office several times but he was always "out to lunch" even at 3 pm. We asked his secretary if he was ok, and was still representing us. She gave us no answer. I found the outstanding invoice for $100 which was lost in the car from PObox pickup. Is this why we were ignored and left to hang? I phoned apologized to secretary and immediately paid it. Still no response from him. Finally we hired another lawyer to represent us before the case was too late to file. I requested the witness statement which I eventually received which was a copy of his "notes" on a scrap of paper which was ineligible, and useless. Still do not now if he is alive or dead. So unprofessional to not even tell us why he was dropping us or if he was dropping us. We wasted valuable time and money dealing with him. Complete non starter.
