I've known (and used) Atty. Conti for 45+ years. He has never failed me. Lawsuits, Real Estate and some minor brushes with the law. The judges know and respect Atty. Conti which has heavy implications on the outcome. You cannot do better than Atty. Conti.
I hired atty county 3 years ago to handle a probate matter. Long story short 10 grand lighter and worse off then before I hired him. I am sorry I encountered him. Don’t think he was completely honest either
I hired Bill Conti to represent me in a litigation case against a former business partner. I got the feeling that Bill was resting on his laurels and seemed minimally interested in my case while requesting a large retainer. My suspicions were confirmed as Bill was not very engaged and my counterpart immediately gained the upper hand. It seemed to me he thought he could intimidate his opponent on name only without expending any real energy . I believe my outcome would have been more favorable if he took more initiative and acted in a more aggressive manner. My recommendation: if you are looking for someone to fix a parking ticket or dismiss a marijuana case, Atty Conti is your man as he probably plays poker with the prosecutor. If you are looking for some fresh ideas and energy in a litigation avoid him. He is surely the Phil Jackson of Litchfield County attorneys
