My Mom, the cornerstone of our family, died from lung cancer. While we all expect to die, the way in which she was diagnosed, the way in which she fought this horrible disease and the way her final weeks were was avoidable. As a family we have lived all over the world, experienced and learned from many, many events. My Mom was incredibly organized and fastidious about her health and ours as well. A missed fortuitous finding on an x-ray as a result of a fall changed our lives permanently. I was introduced to Rob through a lawyer friend that we have tremendous respect for. From the first time I met Rob until today, I knew that he was someone that we could trust completely. As a family we had never engaged in anything like this. I personally had a great medical malpractice suit years ago during a surgery where there was an unfortunate mistake. I did not sue anyone, I talked it over with the doctor and understood that this simply happened, nothing he or the hospital did wrong. Rob helped me and then helped my parents and siblings to understand what was at stake, whether there was wrong doing and most importantly helped us to learn the facts. The medical system today is fraught with deception and fear largely driven by attorney's and their clients that see this as "an insurance claim." With my Mom's case, her life, her family, her future were behind this. Rob helped us understand the law, the precedent(s), the reality versus emotion, the pros/cons of moving forward. We did move forward and he kept us apprised, got to know my parents well and became a friend to our family. While this is his business, this was more than a transaction. During a deposition which was taken just days before my Mom's final horrific weeks, Rob was able to bring a part of my Mom out to the open in a way that showed who she really was, what mattered most to her and how this misdiagnosed disease impacted her relationship with God. It was at that moment that I knew without a doubt that my recommendation to my parents to hire Rob was perhaps one of the best decisions that I have made for our family. Professional, focused, smart, compassionate, assertive and fair.... you don't typically see these words in the same sentence. We will forever be grateful that Rob was our attorney and has become a friend of our family. My Mom never lived to see the outcome of this lawsuit, I know she would have been proud.

My husband and I retained Rob Sachs to represent us in a case when I tripped on a section of pavement in our neighborhood that had not been properly maintained. My fall resulted in a broken wrist that required surgery to implant a permanent plate and six screws. Rob Sachs listened when we said we were reluctant to take legal action and as we requested, approached the property owner in a neighborly fashion. When we had no response and realized after ten months of therapy that my hand will never function or feel the same way again, we decided to continue with legal action. What we especially appreciated in working with Rob was his professionalism, expertise, and keeping us informed so we could make decisions that were in our best interests. His support staff was competent and very helpful. Rob’s calm, understanding manner and sense of humor helped us make the best of a situation we wish had never happened in the first place.
