About
Robert Rubin’s practice concentrates on all aspects of commercial transactions, including commercial finance, real estate transactions, commercial loan workouts and restructures, and commercial litigation. On the transaction side, Rob represents both lenders and borrowers in a broad range of commercial financing and business transactions, including the purchase, sale and financing of businesses and real estate. He is also a title insurance agent licensed with the Ohio Department of Insurance and writes for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company. Mr. Rubin represents both Landlords and Tenants in the negotiation, drafting and enforcement of commercial, retail and industrial leases. In the workout field, he primarily represents lenders in documenting loan restructures, in the liquidation of assets, and the enforcement and defense of loan documentation. In the litigation field, he has extensive experience in commercial loan and banking litigation. Mr. Rubin regularly represents one of the nation’s largest banks in a broad range of commercial transactions, workouts, and litigation. He also represents a large restaurant franchisee in its acquisition, financing and leasing of more than 50 restaurant facilities. Mr. Rubin has lectured at continuing legal education seminars for National Business Institute and Lorman Educational Services on the topics of loan documentation, Uniform Commercial Code, and loan workout issues. He has received Martindale Hubbell’s highest peer rating (AV), and his biography appears in Who’s Who in America. Mr. Rubin also serves as a managing member of the Law Firm.

I have worked with Rob for over 20 years on a wide variety of transactions and would highly recommend him for your real estate law needs. As the VP of Development for a national restaurant chain, i worked directly with Rob on land acquisition deals, leases, sale leasebacks, financing deals, and even the purchase and sale of entire companies. Rob has the personal expertise to handle all of that, and the resources to bring in other experts as the situation merits. Rob has always been responsive, hands on, and focused on timely closing of our deals. He was as helpful to us when we were a small franchise as he was when we grew to a $150 million plus company. To his great credit, I do not recall a time in the span of around 50 transactions, with every variety of difficult personality involved, where I did not feel that Rob was an asset in moving the deal towards completion.
