About
I have been a practicing trial attorney for over 30 years since graduating from the University of South Carolina School of Law. I am licensed to practice in both South Carolina (1989) and North Carolina (1996).Serious Personal Injury - We fous our personal injury practice on serious injury and wrongful death cases that result in permanent injury or catastrophic loss. As a former Registered Nurse (RN), I understand complex injury. And as a former insurance defense lawyer, I understand how adjusters value and negotiate settlements. In addition, I know insurance company tactics as I prepare your case for trial if necessary. Most importantly, every client has my direct mobile number (704.351.7979) and email address ([email protected]). When you need answers or are feeling anxious, I will be there as we go through this ordeal together. Criminal Law / DUI / DWI - We focus our firm's criminal practice on DUI, DWI, and felony DUI cases. In criminal cases, the State has the entire burden of proof, and we make sure they can prove you guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. If there are problems with their case, we negotiate or try to get your case dismissed. In DUI cases, the penalties for even a first time offense are extremely harsh and have permanent consequences. This is why I have obtained the same training as police on DWI Investigation and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing. Zac Fry is a former SC DUI prosecutor, and Mr. Reeves has 30 years trial experience in both criminal and civil courts. After we review your case, we sit down and go over your options. We answer your questions and give you our advice so that you can make the best decision for you and your family.Family Law - When going through divorce, it's difficult to make good decisions with so much emotions and chaos. That's where we can help. We will guide you through child custody, support, and visitation, as well as alimony, and property division issues. Divorce is a process. Let us get you from A to B as peaceably as possible. Always agree where you can but be willing to fight if you have to.**Membership in professional legal organizations, including the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, shows our commitment to being the best lawyers we can be. It is not intended to convey value. Because every case is truly unique, the outcome on individual facts and circumstances. For a comprehensive review of your case, call to personally meet with one of our lawyers. Or call me now directly. 704.351.7979. Or email [email protected]

Mr. Reeves is a lifesaver! He went out of his way to direct me on how to get out of a petty ticket free of charge. He offered to take the case for a small fee or give me the steps to handle it myself. I took him up on his offer and everything went exactly as he stated. Give this man a call if you need representation, or just advice.
About three years ago I was pulled over for speeding and charged with a first-time offence 0.08 DWI in a small town about 45 minutes from Charlotte, NC. At the time I was a Florida resident and was temporarily in North Carolina for a work project. Having an out of state license only meant more complications to an already delicate subject, so I immediately began looking for the top-rated lawyers in the area. I scheduled meetings with six different law firms and set aside an entire day to interview them, get their opinion on my case, and ultimately decide which would be the best approach forward. I ended up choosing Robert to represent me due to two main reasons which set him apart from the rest: First, my arrest took place over Labor Day weekend which meant that I would have to wait a couple of days until being able to meet lawyers, so I decided to leave voicemails during the holiday so I could fast-track my appointments the next day. When calling Robert’s listed number, it turned out to be his private cell phone, which he answered even on holiday nonetheless. Not only did he answer my call during off hours, he heard my case and provided comfort in my situation at a time when I needed it most. Good client communication is one of the main attributes I looked for when choosing my lawyer, and Robert went above and beyond in providing answers to all of my questions at a personal level of communication, which was kept throughout the entirety of my case (over three years). Secondly, when I first met with Robert, we went through my case and he gave me his honest opinion on the most appropriate course of action. Then, he went ahead and told me a bit about his background, he’s past cases and strategies he would use at trial, but what really sold me on him was the advice that he gave me before leaving his office. He said that “regardless of which lawyer I decided to go with, to always make sure that I get the lawyer that I am paying for”. This is due to the fact that big law firms would take my case and would later hand it off to one of their multiple lawyers, which means I would have no control or knowledge of who is actually representing me, which defeats the purpose of doing my research in finding the best lawyer for my case. I found Robert’s advice to be the most honest and helpful out of all the lawyers I interviewed, something which I actually experienced first-hand in one of the meetings with another firm later that day when I asked the name of the lawyer that would get my case and was not provided with a concrete answer. \ Every case is different, and in my situation, Robert suggested to take it all the way to superior court to a jury trial since according to his experience, my case had plenty of evidence in my favor and had a real shot at winning. I followed Robert’s advice and went to trial, in which Robert did an excellent job in addressing the jury and presenting evidence in my defense. The jury could not come to a decision and was pretty evenly split on a guilty/not guilty verdict which ended in a mistrial. However, thanks to Robert, everything worked out in my favor since his negotiation with the DA led to the dismissal of my DWI charge, and Robert also prevented my license from being suspended due to the speeding infraction. All in all, Robert Reeves is an absolutely outstanding, experienced trial lawyer. With Robert you definitely get what you pay for, and since all cases are different, even if such great results as mine might not be an option, hiring Robert Reeves will definitely ensure the best possible outcome for your case.
Called Mr. Reeves about my first speeding ticket and gave me great advice and was patient with my many questions and nervousness. Assured me that I didn’t need a lawyer for my case and gave me the run down on how to take points off my drivers license so my insurance wouldn’t go up. Clear, concise, and sympathetic. Would my first on my list for help with any legal issues!
Mr. Reeves was the 4th lawyer I spoke to about representing my minor daughter. The first wanted $3k, the second $1,250 and the 3rd $750. Mr. Reeves advised me that He thought we would be fine without a lawyer, gave some advice on what to say and what would likely happen and said to call him back on the day before the hearing if I needed reassurance or refreshing on what to say at the hearing and also to call him after the hearing to “celebrate.” Got to admit we were nervous going into the hearing without a lawyer but he was absolutely right the charge was 100% dismissed. Can’t thank him enough for taking the time to offer his advice and for refusing to be predatory. 10/10 will call him if I ever have any other legal needs!
I got a phone consultation and even though I wasn't able to file my case in SC (I recently move here), the attorney was very polite, helpful and gave me all the information I needed at the moment.
Not entirely sure Mr. Reeves' services were going to be needed, he graciously spent time on the phone with my mother and me to go over some questions and concerns to help us determine next steps. He was kind and considerate and really put us at ease. I would recommend him to anyone needed legal guidance.
I had a speeding ticket and was looking for an attorney on Avvo to represent me in court. I was out of time and needed support in another state. Robert called right after I made contact on Avvo, and gave me excellent advice. He was transparent and honest and had my best interests. I would definitely use him again.
I was charged with a DUI and immediately went for a consultation with Mr. Reeves the following day. Within one week of hiring Mr. Reeves, I got my license back and ultimately saved me from losing my job. Mr. Reeves continued to follow the most aggressive and persistent approach in challenging the charge overall. Based on the circumstantial evidence, I plead guilty to the offense. Having no prior history/run ins with the law prior to this event, Mr. Reeves explained everything to me accordingly and the route we were taking, keeping me updated and the reasoning behind the approach taken. He continued to show compassion and a sincere desire to help me as much as possible throughout the entirety of the case; Mr. Reeves and his partners are NOT looking to turn cases around quickly for increased profit, they are looking to defend their clients at all costs while maintaining an ethical/logical sense of strategy. Fast forward a few months- I messed up again and my DUI was now considered a Level 2 offense with mandatory minimum jail time and heavy fines. Having never been to jail, this terrified me. Mr. Reeves was ultimately able to prevent me from having to serve any jail time, keep my job and reduced my fines tremendously. Had I not chosen Mr. Reeves to defend me, I would be in jail, subsequently unemployed and down a dark road. Mr. Reeves is ultimately tried and true; through his knowledge, integrity, connections, compassion and results.
I phoned Mr. Reeves for a second opinion consult....his response to my call was immediate. He listened mindfully without judging. Was empathetic, kind, sincere, well-spoken and extremely knowledgeable. I hope I never need this representation again but would absolutely consider him if I did!
Robert Reeve and Zach Frye were incredible representation on my legal case. I was a difficult client and they went above and beyond to prove they were working for me. I couldn't be happier with the results of their efforts and would highly recommend them for your legal needs. Without their professional knowledge my life could be in turmoil and they delivered big time.
