In the spring of 2014, Robert graduated from the University of Baltimore Law School. After passing the Bar Exam in July, 2014, and being admitted to the Maryland Bar, Robert and a colleague opened a general practice law firm: Oehrig & Mailman, LLC. As a Managing Partner of Oehrig & Mailman, LLC, Robert was primarily responsible for drafting pleadings, motions, briefs and other papers filed in civil litigation matters in district and circuit courts throughout Maryland. He placed great emphasis on writing clearly and conscisely so as to present the best legal arguments for the firm's clients. While a member of Oehrig & Mailman, LLC, his practice also emphasized appellate practice as well as estate planning, estate administration and probate. In July, 2016, Robert opened The Law Office of Robert P. Oehrig, LLC to pursue his own legal passions: appellate research and writing, and assisting individuals and families with all of their estate planning needs. Robert is a published author with considerable copy-editing experience; he co-edited William Woodward Baldwin, 1862-1954: His Era Immensely Simplified, and he is presently working on the third-person narrative of a U.S. Army Ambulance Section from Harvard University that served in France for 21 months during World War One.

I found Robert here on Avvo and hired him to help with my unique appeal. I had won in Circuit Court with the help of another attorney, but the opposing party disagreed and filed an appeal. Robert dived into the case law surrounding my issue and familiarized himself with it. We had to appear in person at the Court of Special Appeals and Robert did an excellent job at presenting our argument and won our case. The opposing party then appealed to the Court of Appeals, but Robert's continued argument ended with the Court of Appeals dismissing the case, upholding our winning status. Robert also did a great job in providing his professional opinion without guaranteeing any sort of outcome. Thanks Robert, I truly appreciate your hard work on my case.
A friend recommended consulting with Robert Oehrig to review my Will and Trust which need updating. My concerns were specifically about procedures and requirements that differ from state to state, especially regarding real estate since I may be moving, and advice about choosing a personal representative. Robert answered every question in a way that was easily understood by a non-lawyer and offered possible options when appropriate. He is articulate, patient, and demonstrates a broad knowledge base. Should I decide to update my Will and Trust if I stay in Maryland I will certainly seek his services again.
