Working with Peter was a rewarding experience. I came to him with a complicated and multi-faceted issue and he sorted out the details, kept on task and ended up winning me a full award including fees. I highly recommend Peter as your attorney.

Peter Viteznik not only won my case but he was collaborative, great at explaining and breaking things down for me, and helped me come to my own decisions. I felt that Peter really cared about me and my goals, not just the pay out at the end. He was patient, great at communicating and response times via phone and email were much appreciated. It was a stressful process that he made easy for me. I highly recommend Peter and his team!

We received a recommendation to hire Pete Viteznik about 15 years ago to handle a complicated construction defect case. This was unfamiliar territory for our company and Pete proved to be the right person for the job. It was evident from the very beginning that Pete and his team possess the knowledge, expertise and professionalism required to navigate a complicated situation. He clearly defined what he needed from us and then plainly outlined his plan to help us succeed. His communication through the entire process was excellent. We would have regular in person meetings to review each milestone in the case, but in addition, he would call as soon as new information came to light that he felt we would like to know. Pete has always proven to be personal, reliable and accessible. I have called him on numerous occasions for the simplest of questions and he has always been delighted to help in any way. We have worked with Pete and his team ever since that first case and can strongly recommend him to anyone else.

Pete has been our attorney for 25 years and has guided us through numerous legal obstacles along the way. As a real estate developer having a top notch attorney is invaluable. Not only is Pete very knowledge and attentive but his billing is always fair. Can't recommend Pete enough.

Pete represented my wife and me in a complex multi-party construction defect case on a residential project gone awry due. This was a 5 way lawsuit involving engineer, architect, contractor, etc. Pete saw through the complexity, got the suit sorted correctly, made sure everything was done properly so insurance companies and other sources of funding would come to the table and they did which got us resolution. Pete guided us along the way which was critical as we are not lawyers. We needed sound guidance and a decisive, knowledgeable attorney and Pete and KVL was just that person and firm. Pete also guided us on a fee dispute resolution with our first attorney group. He performed deftly and with high ethics to help us through what was an unethical performance from our previous attorneys we had gone to seeking help. They took advantage and Pete sorted it out and got us some measure of justice as far as the law and the Oregon State Bar would allow. Pete is a pro.

We were the plaintiff against a window installer. We were listened to, the entire firm worked quickly, and was very responsive. Peter and Lee did a fantastic job taking the time to explain and talk through everything. We settled for a sufficient amount, and Peter was able to get us the settlement for minimal effort and cost on their end. Though I hope not to have to hire them again, they'll be our first call if we need another attorney.

We have had the opportunity to work with Pete and his team a few times and have been grateful for the creative thought, work product and results he has provided. Pete is an ally, someone who listens to the story and determines the relevant facts to use to give us the strongest case. As someone who has worked with their fair share of attorneys, we found Pete to be available whenever we needed him. Pete listened and respected our point of view while offering differing perspectives, making him an asset to our team. We will continue to use Pete as a resource when the circumstances arise.

Diligent, knowledgeable, insightful, and persistent. Pete is your guy when the HOA has its back against the wall.

Mr. Viteznik was accurate in the outcome and amounts of a settlement. Knew how to navigate the legal roadblocks and was persistent in getting the job done. Very happy that I was referred to him and his firm.

Pete handled a construction defect case on my behalf. A recently purchased home required nearly $400,000 in repairs. I hired Viteznik to recoup my repair costs from the builder and seller of the home. The builder/seller knew, and chose not to disclose, the known construction deficiencies that led to multiple water penetration issues. In my opinion, Peter J Viteznik's overconfidence, lack of preparation, and personal life distractions resulted in my case being dismissed on summary judgment. Viteznik didn't even bother to tell me that there was a summary judgment hearing. To make matters worse, I learned later, at a hearing for the motion for reconsideration, that because of a "personal conflict" Viteznik didn't even show up for the MSJ hearing and instead sent a junior associate, with little to no knowledge or expertise relating to my case, to the MSJ hearing. Court records confirm Viteznik's absence at the MSJ hearing. After the case was lost, I asked Viteznik, his current firm of Kilmer, Voorhees & Laurick, P.C., and his formal firm of Bullivant, Houser, and Bailey, PC to fund my appeal and they declined. It is one thing to make a mistake in life and quite another to deny it. Thankfully, I found two lawyers in Seattle that took the case to the appellate court and received a full reversal on ALL FIVE ARGUMENTS. In the end, the value of my valid claim was eroded because of the large amount of time that had elapsed between the original filing, appellate reversal, and settlement conference. Viteznik made money on my good case and I lost close to $600,000 (including legal fees).
