About

Robert McMillin is a criminal defense attorney specializing in DUI defense. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1989-1995, including Operation Desert Storm, before college. Robert attended the University of Southern Mississippi and Tulane Law School on a merit-based scholarship. Robert McMillin has a proven track record as a criminal lawyer, successfully defending those accused of DWI and other crimes. He is a member of the National College for DUI Defense (NCDD), an attorney organization which includes the most experienced DUI and DWI defense attorneys in the country. Robert is also a member of the Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Slidell Bar Association. Each day, Robert works hard to protect the constitutional rights of his clients, preventing governmental abuses, and ensuring that an isolated mistake does not cost someone their life, career, or future. Robert has had, arguably, more DUI training than most police officers, including the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing. This training allows Robert to detect when the required procedures are not followed during the arrest and in the DUI lab. These oversights can result in the dismissal or reduction of his clients’ charges.
