Robert A. Krause was born in Reading, Pennsylvania. Hegraduated from the University of Dayton School of Law, magna cum laude, in 1984. After completing a clerkship with the Court of Appeals of Maryland, hepracticed law in Baltimore, Maryland and the District of Columbia for fiveyears before moving to Wyoming. Hebegan practicing with The Spence Law Firm in 1990 and has been partner in thefirm since 1995. Bob and his wifehave three children. He recently spoke about discovery in trucking cases at the AmericanAssociation of Justice convention in Maui. Recently, he settled a caseinvolving a tire repairman who was severely injured when a forklift wheelexploded while he was attempting to repair the tire. The wheel shattered his face and caused extensive braindamage. The settlement will ensurethat the client receives lifetime medical care and that there is enough moneyto provide for his needs. Currently, he is representing thefamilies of two people who died as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning. Our investigation shows that theheating repairman failed to properly service the gas heater which resulted inthe accumulation of lethal levels of carbon monoxide in the house. The carbon monoxide detector alsofailed to activate and warn the residents of the hazardous condition whichexisted in the house.
