Rob is a lifelong resident of Lee County, Virginia. He graduated from Jonesville High School in 1985 and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with honors from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1990. After deciding to attend law school, Rob graduated from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1994. After passing the bar exam that summer, Rob began a one-year Federal Court Clerkship with United States Magistrate Judge Cynthia Kinser.Rob is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar Association, the Lee County Bar Association and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.In 2003, Rob opened Hines Law Office, PLC with a focus on the representation of injured and disabled persons.Rob is married to Rebecca Riggs Hines who is a teacher at Flatwoods Elementary School. They have a ten year old daughter, Alexandra Hines.Rob is an elected member of the Lee County School Board. Rebecca is an elected member of the Jonesville Town Council.
